Casitas Maraika

Came through here twice on hiking and ate and drank here. Beautiful location and wonderful food and drinks. The staff was also great. Would love to stay here someday.

The restaurant/bar is amazing. Some of the best drinks and food we have had and from a truly passionate and amazing chef. The ceviche was just out of this world and yhe drinks were amazing. I recommend telling them what you are feeling like and let them select for you- you can’t go wrong.

Great music, good vibes, excellent service and comfortable and easy places to lounge and sit.

Excellent, unique flavored food. It's a bit on the expensive side but the surroundings are priceless. It's truly a tropical paradise. I always stop here when I hike from Boca de Tomatlan. They also have the best clean washrooms. Don't walk past here without trying the food and drinks.

We had an amazing meal here. The staff were super friendly and the food was fantastic. The DJ was a little loud but by the end we appreciated it. Definitely worth a visit!

We hiked here from Quimixto to eat at the restaurant – and it was well worth it! An incredibly gorgeous spot away from the bustle of Las Animas. Food was inventive and delicious, service was great. Be prepared for high prices but they do take credit cards and it’s worth what you’re paying. We had 2 kinds of ceviche, pork taquitos and several veggie dishes at lunch. We were so full we skipped dinner!

Just stopped for food and drinks during our hike. Totally did not expect to run into a place like this hiking between remote beaches. It was like finding an oasis in the desert. A little expensive but worth it for the experience and ambiance.

The food was amazing!! We had a portobello cheesy pizza with roasted eggplant and onions, and a mahi mahi fish special that was so uniquely seasoned and truly scrumptious.
We also tried a Margherita which was unique and delicious.

We did the hike in which was challenging at times. I was wearing flip flops so that probably didn’t help in a few parts where the trail was narrow and steep. Some trees fell so we had a few detours but it was a cool place to see and I’m very happy I went.

Just prior to the end of the hike from Boca de Tomatlan to Las Animas, there is a must-stop oasis called Casitas Maraika. A refreshing stop after a long and beautiful hike, the staff there are ready to serve you unique drinks and insanely good food! The views of blue water and colorful flowers are everywhere. We got a tour of a few of their guests lodges and were so impressed by their simplicity yet grand ambiance. Some day I will book a few nights! It was an experience not to forget! Don’t walk past to Las Animas. Stop here. You won’t be disappointed!!

Went on a hike yesterday from Boca de Tomatlan and ended up here unexpectedly. This place is INSANE!! Gorgeous views and amazing kitchen set up with the best food. Everything was top notch. The staff was so attentive and gave us a tour of the resort after we had some food and drinks. Kaled was so kind and helpful with food, drinks, and the tour. Will definitely be back for a get away!

We stopped here during our hike, and it was truly a gem! The food drinks, the location you can’t ask for a better place to take a refuge and fuel up!

We did the Boca de Tomatlán to Los Aninas hike, ate here in. A highlight of our entire vacation. The waiter was absolutely fabulous as was the food and experience.

We had an amazing experience at Casitas Maraika. We came as a bachelorette group. Hiked in (challenging but very beautiful and worth it), had cocktails and lunch and got 30-min massages. The food is excellent - some of the best we had the entire trip - and same with the cocktails. Incredible herbal margarita. The massages far exceeded expectations. Thanks to the Italian man who works there who ensured we had such a great time - it was a blast. Highly recommend!

I rarely review but what a gem. We were hiking along from Boca to Animas and were so happy we stopped. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and all the food was amazing. The staff were so friendly and the view is to die for. Please don’t miss this, it was the highlight of our trip.

Fantastic hike along the coast from town to get there. Great drinks, food, incredible views, great little beach you can swim. Wonderful service. Took a water taxi back to PB and stopped to see the rocks.

It’s a magic place to enjoy nature, beautiful designed cabins and unique experience

We hiked from Boco de Tomatlan to just before Las Animas and stumbled upon this sweet place. They kindly seated us immediately, brought us our beers no problem. The manager then brought us the drink menus and the food menus and explained that they try to use predominantly local products for their food.
He recommended the Paloma (drink), so I ordered it. Delicious! Our son ordered a pineapple drink that was also great!
I ordered four dishes for the table. The manager advised us on portion sizes (single portion or family). Thank goodness. We had these flavorful shrimps. There was a dish with a complex layering of chilie purée and pork and veggie/herbs with banana tortillas. We also had a large plate of avocado purée with pepitas sprinkled on top. The last dish was the watermelon ceviche which was actually my favorite dish. The view was incredible and the music in the background was really good too. Made the long hike out there worth it.

What a great experience!!! This place is awesome, the surroundings are breathtaking, the service was great and the food delicious! I'm so happy we found this gem and escaped the busy overcrowded and loud Las Animas beach. Muchas gracias para todo, what a beautiful day!

We had great food! There is a very nice beach right next to it. There is fresh fish, tacos, burritos. Lemonade, beer all fun stuff. The beach isn't usually crowded so it's a nice place to hang. I might also mention that there are lots of Iguanas. Honestly, this place feels like paradise! 🌴

Absolutely delicious, authentic food and drink. Ceviche and fish tacos were amazing. We couldn’t stop with the guacamole. Great drinks. They let us tell them. Exactly how we wanted them. Right on the beach... even better. Pretty affordable Considering how much we ordered.
