What an amazing delicious 😋 foods and drinks ! WOW! You got to be ready for an experience! Merida has one of the most delicious cuisine in Mexico 🇲🇽 and this place has it all. The building itself is a piece of art, a museum of Gastronomy actually. Try different dishes and share, that way you get to try more dishes. And order some Mezcal! Again, I was forgetting to post this review, I was there on February 17th of this year 2024. Awesome. I could there every day and keep gaining weight. 😂😍🤔🤷🏽‍♂😎🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽

This place seems like it has tourist trap written all over it, but I was pleasantly surprised. We thought we would avoid the crowds if we went in day time on a weekday, but it didn't make a difference. We ended up taking a seat at the bar to avoid the 30 minute wait for a table. We were confused though as when we walked in, there were several open tables.
We ended up ordering the sampler plate for 2 people, which ended up being the best option. The chicken breast was my favorite, but everything was good. This was honestly the best meal we had in the Yucatan, and the price was quite reasonable. I will note however, at least if you're eating at the bar, you will need a smartphone to view the menu, as it is only available in digital.
And as others have pointed out, at the end of the day, this is a restaurant first and a museum second. The museum part of it, is more about village life and cooking methods and much less so about recipes and the origins of the actual dishes. And I will take a gander, that you probably need to order something at the restaurant to be able to visit the museum.

I believe this is an old house converted into a restaurant, the ambiance is great, lots of plants and the patio is beautiful.
The food was delicious, I had to ask many questions about the menu because it is authentic food, all delicious and good portions.
Service is exceptional.
Breakfast is until 11am.

If you are looking for an authentic place to eat in Merida with great food and service it’s a must come. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Make sure to try their cochinito pibil.

What an experience! I was very positively surprised. The food was super delicious, especially the cochinita! I got 4-5 tortillas for this. It was really delicious and rich. By the way, the atmosphere is also fantastic. I liked it very well.

Must visit for cochinita pibil - at 3/7 pm you can see how the take the cochinita out of the ground. There is also a little museum and mayan huts where tortillas are handmade. Beautiful courtyard, delicious food and very friendly service.

It's a really nice restaurant with amazing atmosphere and people. They offered information about the main traditional dishes in a 15 min tour for free with Carlos, who is well prepared and prompted to answer questions. They were really kind and ordered and even waited for my Uber (20 min after-work hours) to arrive. I will definitely come back and recommend it.

This place will give you you the best Yucatán dining experience of your life. This obviously comes as no surprise to the locals but this is easily one of if not the best restaurant in Merida. I was heading elsewhere and my Uber driver detoured me to this place. Reviewing each dish is a waste of time, because everything I invested in this establishment was life changing. This place perfectly embodies the taste of Yucatán, so this is a must stop. The service is also extraordinarily seamless and the camaraderie and pure joy of the staff is on full display
. I’d be excited to see this place garner the first Michelin star in Merida. You

Excellent food, great service. Reasonable prices.
We had the stuffed zucchini and the Queso relleno. Both dishes had a great cream sauce
Great drinks, I had the Kukulcan which I recommend highly.
There was live music,

Best spot for a nice dinner.

They serve Mayan food. The food is good value and very tasty. Cocktails are tasty, and they have a good selection of beers (some local micro brew).

The garden seating area is amazing. The decor is really nice. The place is very clean.

There is a little museum attached that you can visit!

There are some good Mayan food options around, but this is the best.

Fantastic place, and lovely museum. Food was great, very tasty dishes with nice presentation. Cuisine is very traditional and worth visiting. Service was outstanding and amazing venue. The museum was small but very nice. However, not the best food we’ve tried at Merida.

This restaurant was an amazing experience all around. The ambiance was classy and the interior had trees and vegetation growing in a courtyard/dining area. My table was in a room off from this courtyard but the tables were larger (for big groups) and the walls were adorned with amazing art. Not to mention the floor tiles looked like original Spanish tiles still colorful and vibrant. All this was just the place itself now the food I ordered was on a whole other level. I started with the Turkey Lime Soup that was so delicious and went down so quick and easy. Then I had this absolutely amazing chicken which I forget the name of at this moment but it was seasoned and wrapped in a banana leaf then placed and buried in a fire pit to cook. It came out on a really hot sizzling skillet and let me tell you that when I opened the leaf the chicken was so moist and tender, it literally fell right off the bone. I couldn't recommend this dish even more, it was worth every penny. If you're ever in Mérida Mexico I'd make it a point to go to this restaurant, 10 out of 10 would dine again!

One of the best places in Merida to dine in.
We chose a set of tacos and other local food to try, as well as lime soup.
Authentic vibe, wonderfully delicious food - mmm! worth to come back.

Great food, great service and an opportunity to try some Mayan food you might not have tried before. If you are lucky you might be there when they dig up their conchinita pibil from the ground and share it with the guests. My favourite dish wash the relleno negro.
