Piedra de Agua Hotel Boutique

Without doubt the best hotel in Mérida! Besides being extremely beautiful and unique, the location is absolutely not to compete with. It's walking distance to everything in the city and they sell amazing private tours as well! We went on two tours and they were just fantastic, and the freedom of having you own driver is what really made the difference. We even got our delicious breakfast to go since we wanted to leave early.

We stayed in the master suite which was a truly beautiful and spacious room with everything you need. The service was brilliant and all of the staff were super helpful. The same goes for their restaurant which has some of the best food we ever had and awesome cocktails as well (to very reasonable prices I must add)!

The only problem about this hotel is that you don't want to leave.. Ever🙈

Is an amazing hotel in a very old building. The rooms are very boutique and the shower is exceptional. The decorations in the hotel are really really cool and the atmosphere is very very trendy yet calm at the same time. The backyard has a pool and it's very calm atmosphere.

I haven't stayed personally at the hotel but they have gone above and beyond. My friends will be arriving today for their stay in Merida. I ordered them flowers to be delivered to the hotel. I forgot to add a note , so I called the hotel & asked If they could do me the favor and add a note along with taking the flowers to their room as I did not have that information. They sent a WhatsApp following up with me once it was done. The entire staff was so kind and helpful, the service was amazing!

This was the most remarkable experience in terms of being immersed in the cultural experience. The history, the sights, the food, but mostly, the people, were beyond wonderful. The staff were welcoming and attentive; the rooms were quaint with beautiful "Princess Style" netting; the whole hotel was a beautiful setting with a lovely patio out the back to relax and enjoy; the food was incredibly fresh and delicious and added to the whole Mexican experience. The staff was so wonderful, it was a really a family by the time we went to leave, everyone even hugged goodbye, it was so touching and really sad to leave. Thanks to all the staff for the incredible experience!! So, if you are looking to really experience what Mexico has to offer, I highly recommend!!

As I sit in the indoor courtyard, having just finished a remarkable lunch, I am struck by how much great hospitality these folks give in day to day dealings. Warm and caring, thoughtful, it seems as if I run out of compliments for this hotel. Good food, quiet pool area that can get busy but not seem not too loud. Hotel is historic, so if you want modern amenities it may not be for you. I will be back, it was perfect.

Our service was exceptional, we booked a tour to Uxmal with the front desk also, and it was a great time! The room was large and even had a hammock inside the room. The hotel itself is very nice, make sure to spend some time in the courtyard by the pool or bar and enjoy the view of the one of the oldest cathedral in the Americas.

For anyone who normally stays in Hyatt or something similar you will need to adjust your comfort expectations...but we found this stay to be unbeatable. We paid $150 USD for a two night stay and a private tour for 4 people to Uxmal (the tour included breakfast and lunch too!! The lunch was at a delicious roadside restaurant). Without the tour it was under $100 for two nights. An amazing location!

Amazing location, amazing hotel. Hands down the most romantic and rustic hotel we’ve stayed at. Each room is unique and very original. Located only a block from the historic downtown Merida, the staff is great, the services are phenomenal great food. If I’m ever back in Merida i will choose piedra de agua again and again.

Stayed with a group for a week and couldn’t have been happier. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely accommodating to our schedule. I still think about sitting in their courtyard in the evenings sharing drinks as the evening cools off. It’s location is perfect for seeing the festivities during the Mayan Cultural Festival in September.

Piedra de Agua is a small boutique hotel located in Centro Merida on calle 60, half a block from the large square. They give great service, with excellent food and clean beautiful rooms and surroundings. Have stayed her 5 times. My favorite hotel in Merida.

The staff was very accommodating and kind. The room was spacious and clean . Location is in the heart of Merida.

The food was really good, a little bit expensive but the experience worth it because you have and amazing view. The service was very attentive!

A lovely, quaint, well managed property. The people are wonderful! Breakfast was great and I can't wait to visit again.

It's a small hotel but the restaurant is more than incredible, the view and the attention are excellent! Is really close to the main attractions in Merida
