This place is recommended during the hot afternoons as a refreshing escape. Mexican beer is cheap (26 pesos) and you get lots of snacks.

A good way to experience a mexican cantina.

This is an excellent snack bar that is typical of the traditional Mérida cantina. When you order a beer, the waiter brings you a few plates of complementary snacks that can include German potato salad, pickled beets, mole, relleno negro, chips, refried beans, and polcanes.

Sometimes the snacks run out, so oftentimes they will only have popcorn later in the evening.

Merida's oldest cantina, El Gallito was one of our favourite beer stops. They serve almost every Corono-owned beer under the sun (Corona, Pacifico and Leon to name a few) and the free tapas that they serve while you drink were all amazing (especially the sikil pak!) Very cool spot for any beer lover to check out.

One of the best bars near "Montejo". It is not La negrita's style, more old fashioned but super cool.

My favorite cantina in Centro for good and plentiful botanas and cheap beers. Friendly staff and welcoming to all.

This little spot off the beaten track is a diamond in rough. Fabulous service, amazing food, and all at a great price!!!

Best place ever

El Gallito es una cantina típica que aún conserva el ambiente botanero tradicional. Es muy ameno pasar el tiempo aquí. La botana es sencilla pero muy rica y te la traen con pedir cualquier bebida incluso sin alcohol. La atención fue muy amable. Recomiendo mucho si quieres visitar un lugar tradicional y clásico.

Bien. Buenos precios. Tradicional. Generosos con la botana, que es regular, pero por los precios ya sería mucho exagerar. No duden. Todo lo de la foto por una mega de 100 pesos. Una ganga.

Es un lugar muy agradable, nos tocó el karaoke y la verdad fue genial me gusto mucho el lugar, el servicio, todo, si lo recomiendo

Muy buen lugar tradición de más de 40 años

Nos encantó el lugar, una de las cantinas icónicas en el centro de Mérida, la atención que nos brindaron fue muy buena. Celebrábamos un cumpleaños y al cumpleañero le cantaron las mañanitas y le obsequiaron un tequila 😆, el momento fue divertido.
A Ka botana le falta variedad, pero lo que te sirven aunque sencillo está rico 😋

Buenisima botana y ambiente. Rafa muy amable, pasamos muy buen rato. Ricas micheladas y cerveza muy fría, y dispone de privado muy padre.

La botana ya está reducida a unas cuantas para todas las rondas y si quieres "comer" ya algo más formal tienes que pedir a la carta; pero los precios están muy bien así que lo recomiendo 😎
