My Grandmother and I came here on Saturday Feb 24th at Lunch time. Great ambience. The service was impeccable. The prices are very reasonable for the upscale dining experience. I got the Pollo Xcatic and it was delicious and satisfying. My grandmother ordered the White Fish Filet with Carrot and Curry sauce and she was still hungry after that which was unfortunate because it’s more expensive than what I ordered but less filling. (The server did warn us it was a smaller portion)

First visit, a mid-afternoon mini celebration following the purchase of our home in Progreso. We are particular about our 'favorite' places, and recognize you can't get the best food, best service and best atmosphere at a budget price. We also believe that one visit - good or bad - is a poor sample, so we will comment if we have a different experience on our next visit.

We appreciated: steaks in sizes that can accommodate two seniors or one big appetite; the amazing tenderness of the argentine steak cooked perfectly to our request for rare. The willingness to plate the meal to be shared. The excellent wines available by the glass (the house red was excellent). The attentive yet not intrusive service. The way the manager, Denis, actually noticed we were visiting for the first time, and his interest in what attracted us - plus his fluency in Spanish, French, English and Italian (and probably more). The spotless, interesting premises and decor. The availability of on-site parking.

Thanks, Denis and staff, for making our special afternoon extra-special. We will be back.

We went here knowing nothing, randomly picked. We've been in Mexico for around three weeks traveling so far and this the best meal we've had. Seasoning, freshness, menu choices were wonderful. Dayane, our server was attentive and sweet. We will go back for the food and hope she's our server. Started with the empanadas (gorgonzolla) and house salad to share. Loved both. Calamari, asparagus, potatoes, pasta, all were fabulous. Options for non-meat were fabulous. We will try the steak another time, I was just so pleased to find so many other choices. Doesn't hurt the restaurant is beautiful as well.

We all loved this place. Our party grew from 20 to 35. The staff did a great job taking orders and keeping all of it straight! I loved the empeñadas with gorgonzolla. A fun place with good friends!

Steak is the specialty here but there are many other choices on the menu. This is an upscale restaurant with a lovely decor, good service and upscale quality food, professionally prepared. The staff makes you feel welcome.

The Pechuga de Pollo Con Chile Xcatic is amazing! That xcatic chile sauce is slap-yo-momma good! The ambiance on the back patio is really lovely at night. The huge mural is beautifully lit.

Amazing experience. Definitely recommend this place. It has a great atmosphere and overall vibe to it. The food was excellent, we ordered a special signature steak that was just incredible.

Surprise! Since i was close by decided to try the Prix fix menu (1h-5h) 3 courses $325. The kind of big restaurant that normally serve boring food. Not here! From the perfect squid tostada to the nice and light tuna dish ended by a great warm brownie with peanut ice cream. And perfect service! Don’t hesitate!

We didn't know what to expect... It was bloody delicioso!!! The sea bass in pink mole was amazing...the guayaba cheesecake to die for...please order a bottle of Museum Reserva red wine... amazing experience!

Great international food restaurant! Chaya dip, provolone cheese and roasted chicken are my favorites!!

The steak and greens were extremely flavorful, and the service was great. A bit more expensive than other places, but well worth it.

I try to eat here every time I'm in Merida! The food and atmosphere are always fantastic. From tequila to steak to seafood, always delicious. We like to sit in the courtyard and enjoy a cigar with our meal, but of course this is getting more difficult even with outdoor seating. I eat here probably two or 3 times per year, fantastic every time.

We tried the menú ejecutivo, 3 courses for $200 and it is well worth it. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. We had the avocado toast and salad for the first course, then the chicken rigatoni and ravioli as the main course and swapped the dessert for coffee. I recommend them all! (although the coffee was alright, not excellent).
We will definitely go back for the Todo a $40 since there are a variety of beers, licors, cocktails and tapas all for just $40. Today we ate inside because it was hot so I want to go back to sit outside early one evening for the tapas (before 8pm). The restaurant is comfortable and I love the decoration with plenty of plants and good lighting.

delicious place to dine, amazing service! The atmosphere and the restaurant is super cool. We spent NYE there and I highly recomended if your looking for a casual and nice diner with music.

The tuna salad, the steaks, the empanadas, the tartar, the carpaccio, the spinach dip, the chicken.. we ate the entire menu and drank half of the bar and everything was on point in flavor and service.
So good. Will def go back.

Trotter's is the best upscale restaurant in Merida, as far as I'm concerned. The ambiance, service and food are wonderful. My favorite for when I want to KNOW that dinner will be a pleasant experience.

Favorite restaurant in Merida. Outstanding service. Excellent food. Beef carpaccio is the best I've had anywhere. My go to place when entertaining visitors. Only the best.
