The rooms have a/c and I loved that they have a pool. The owners are super friendly.

I´ve loved the place. The staff is very friendly. The location is quite far from the laguna, but manageable if you get there by car. The rooms are crazy. made with cement. if you are scared of tiny places, then it is not your type of hostel. every room has cold air and you can simply jump from your bed into the amazing swimming pool. If you are looking for a spartan location, then it is perfect, no unnecessary items, you great experience. There is also a restaurant inside.

The service is great the price is right, the restaurant and bar is really nice, the food is great, they have vegetarian options and non alcohol beverages. The staff is super friendly and cordial and the atmosphere is multicultural while still being Mexican. They also give recommendations and can clarify any doubts you may have about the area

I loved this little spot. The laguna is about 8 min on bike. The hostel provides bikes if interested and everything is really close by. We had our own bathroom and the water was warm. The restaurant was closed due to covid but we did have breakfast in the mornings. Would stay here again.

Stayed two nights here. Loved the staff! Very nice hostel with tube-like rooms, community pool, bar, and free Wi-Fi.
Abi, the owner, gave me a tour of of the laguna in Bacalar in his private boat. Tought me a little history of the charming little town.
Will definitely try to come here again soon.

Highly Instagrammable, cozy as can be, and the friendliest staff.

It's an old cliche to say that one "feels like family" when they visit somewhere, but this has done exactly that.

Breakfast is provided and varied each morning and I found the owners and guests alike treated me with warmth and conversation.

Unfortunately my Spanish isn't perfect for maintaining the most flawless conversation, but no one faulted me for that.

The tubes have plug-ins, air conditioning, hooks for hanging wet clothes, and ample bed space. I'm 5'11" and fit the length of the bed comfortably but if you are beyond 6'0" you might find it a tight squeeze.

Remember it is a "Tubohostel" so the bathrooms are communal but that was never an issue for me.

It's about a 2 mile walk to the Lake but I honestly enjoy my stroll. If you've rented a car or have bicycles you'll be there in no time.

Small, quiet, off the beaten path, very cool rooms, pool was great for a quick swim. The people who run it were very friendly and helpful with letting me know how to get around, breakfast was tasty, would definitely come back.

This place will make you wish that you could call it home. The most amazing people and great food as well! Oh and the mezcal will change your life! I would give more stars but not possible.

Super cozy and very welcoming. We speak very little spanish but everyone helped us get what we wanted. Food and drinks on site. We had a great time.

Fun and quirky hostel. Rooms are concrete tubes poolside. It's gorgeous and very instagramable. The room do have aircon. Tubes are small but very comfortable. Grwat experience, but certainly not for someone who is claustrophobic haha.

Such a novel room idea! Shared bathrooms, free bikes, beautiful pool, cute puppies, 24hr bar, delicious breakfast included - great stay!

My stay at Kulu Tubohostel Bacalar was delightful. The breakfast was simple and satisfying. The room was cozy and uniquely designed, providing a comfortable and memorable lodging experience. The location was ideal with an easy access to downtown and local attentions and public transportation, making it a or base for exploring the surroundings. The owner and his wife were super friendly and made us feel like part of their family. Thank you and hope to visit you again.

Fue mucho mejor de lo que imaginé!!
El lugar es atendido por los propios dueños, los cuales fueron muy amables conmigo todo el tiempo, Patty hizo mi estadía bastante cálida, están siempre al pendiente de si uno necesita algo.
El concepto está súper padre, cada tubo tiene su minisplit dormí bastante bien, los baños son independientes eso me agradó mucho también, y cuentan con agua caliente. Está cerca del centro me pude mover con facilidad todo el tiempo.
Yo estuve por una semana y la verdad me vine super contenta, obviamente es un lugar al que regresaré.
