Mi Burrito Bacalar

It has been two years since I had the privilege of tasting the food here. I still think about it!
It was an unforgettable experience. From the first bite to the last, every mouthful was a symphony of flavors and textures that left me craving more long after the meal was over. The balance of ingredients was spot on, with each complementing the others to create the most delicious meal. The sauces and the burrito together was a culinary masterpiece, it was divine!
I live for the day I can taste the incredible burrito again, it is that good!!

Mi Burrito is an absolute must. They make absolutely bomb burritos and Jorge is one of the coolest people I've ever met. It would be a shame to come to bacalar and NOT go to Mi Burrito. Great food. The best vibes.

Perfect place to enjoy a yummy burrito :) They offer different options, from vegetarian to shrimp, and extras as chorizo, avocado or egg. It is also possible to leave out the cheese etc. You get 5 different salsas (not spicy to very spicy), which you can add on your burrito.
Service is super friendly and speaks also very good English. Prices are fair. Its definitely worth coming by and enjoying a tasty burrito.

Best veggie burrito I have ever had! The Pachugo is made with hibiscus flowers! It was insanely delicious! Great hibiscus tea too. Great crew over there. Next time I’m in Bacalar I will be back for sure.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! We happened to stumble upon this place a few years back and the food and service were amazing. Nothing has changed. Group of 4 and every single person said it was the best burrito they'd ever eaten. Service is personal and on point. Atmosphere is amazing. DON'T MISS THIS PLACE!!

Very tasty burritos are prepared here. For me, one of the tastiest burritos I've eaten! In addition, the waiters are extremely polite and helpful at all times. Clear recommendation!

We loved this place. Great food and great service. We came here as a family with the kids. Immediately we felt welcome and the team explained the menu and options. My daughter has a nut allergy and I was nervous with nuts on the menu, but we explained and it was no problem. The burritos were freshly made and delicious. The burritos are so filling the kids struggled to eat a whole one. They come in halves so I'd get them to share if we go back. The drinks were also great, my husband tried the beer with added chilli which he loved. It's also great to see natural wrapping using banana leaf and not plastic. It's set in a lovely shaded area. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

An earlier review commented on smoking. I noticed one person smoking while we were there, they had moved away from where people were eating and it's an open outdoor area so we didn't notice it being a problem at all.

This place is a must. Burritos are delicious. My family tried almost all the different kinds of burritos and they were all delicious. Lemon water was also delicious. The owner is a great guy chatted with everyone coming to eat. Atmosphere is great and Bacalar is stunning. You won’t regret going to Mi Burrito.

Saw this place aired on Jinny's Kitchen on Amazon Prime. It's a reality program about Korean street food served by actors (one of them was in the movie Parasite) and a singer (V from BTS) interacting with locals and tourists in Bacalar Mexico. In one of the episode, the cast members gave high praises on Mi Burrito Bacalar.

To make a long story short, our family ended up vacationing in Bacalar and had to try their burrito. And they were even better than what I imagined. The atmosphere was very cozy and the owner welcomed us with a big smile. Very casual and open dinning atmosphere. They had 6-7 different grades of hot sauces and a wide variety of selections on typo of burritos you can customize. We had chicken with avocado, beef with chorizo and avocado, shrimp with chorizo. My teenaged sons raved that they were the best burritos they ever had and I agreed. They were tasty with generous portions. We may have to come back here before we head out to Tulum. :)

Update: On our last day at Bacalar, we stopped by Mi Burrito Bacalar once again and ordered the same burritos for lunch before heading out to Tulum. And as expected, they were as good as the first time! We are now back home in Washington DC watching the last episode of Jinny's Kitchen and already missing our trip to Bacalar. What a beautiful place. What a trip...

Be under no illusions, this is a food truck just outside the main centre of Bacalar but you must eat here! The people who run the place are ultra helpful and make suggestions if you are not sure what to eat and the burritos ... they are made in front of your eyes and come with an accompaniment of suaces; honey and mustard, chipotle and jalapeno (I think there was one more). Very filling and great value for money.

On the day of leaving Bacalar, they very kindly provided us with one burrito (to share because they are huge!) which served as lunch on our bus trip to Merida! Great place, thanks.

One of the best burritos we have ever eaten - vegetarian and meat, both were incredibly good. The service was friendly and helpful. The sauces that are served in different flavors and degrees of spiciness are very tasty. Definitely recommended.

My partner and I ended up getting to Bacalar somewhat later than we anticipated and the place we had wanted to go to was closed. Fortunately we wandered down the street and ended up at Mi Burrito Bacalar and were so happy to have found this spot! I am gluten free and they made a fantastic shrimp bowl while my partner had a burrito. We both were impressed and ordered a second bowl to share! I highly recommend going to this place and trying it out with friends, family, or yourself. As San Franciscians we have an abundance of burrito options to choose from so we really wanted to write a review because the quality was one of the best we’d ever had! The owner Jorge is very kind and we appreciated his warmth!! Do not miss an opportunity to try the yummy food.

We came for lunch here and enjoyed two delicious burrito bowls (we tried the chicken and fish). They were about 200 pesos each (on the slightly pricier side compared to other options we tried in Bacalar, but we did add avocado to both which was extra). Staff were super lovely and helpful.

THE BEST BURRITO IN THE WORLD!!! We got prawn with chorizo and honestly it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in Mexico. The owner is so lovely, gave us tips for Bacalar and the atmosphere is really beautiful and relaxed with lovely waitresses. Will come back again!! Thank you
