Los Trompos

Quite a cool place! I've visited it on Saturday evening with a friend. I had an Orden of Poc-Chuc and they had a taco al pastor. The taco arrived much sooner than my order and when the my food came the tortillas were warmer than the meat. Still everything tasted wonderful and there were so many tortillas I couldn't finish them (which is rare).

The waiter was very attentive and gave us detailed explanations about the food, he also recommended some items. We all had different things, and everything was delicious.

Excellent! I ordered three of the pastor tacos. My wife ordered two chicken tacos. Best we've had in a very long time and we're loaded with meat. Two classic Margaritas each. Both were tasty and potent. I wasn't done so I ordered two of the bistec (steak) tacos. Also yummy! We will definitely go back during our trip here in Merida.

I saw the menu posted outside and I was a little confused, mind you; I was tired and hungry. I saw the pasta picture and walked in. The smell was inviting, Italian food for sure, hum, the place doesn't look Italian. I read the cororful menu and bcs I'm used to pepperoni pizza 🍕, I decided that it was safer for me to eat the pasta.

We loved the pizzas, to our liking, the best in Centro, Merida! The staff was welcoming, friendly and accommodating to our needs. They were attentive and brought back our change quickly! The place is kept clean and so are the bathrooms. We just found this place by chance and it was great. Thank you, Los Trompos. If we come back to Merida, we will eat here again!

Great Grande Speciale pizza (enough for 3 or 4) and cheapish beer ($42 mxn) if you buy the Tarro de Cerveza. Selection of mexican salsas and free nachos with mashed beans while pizza was being prepared. Atmosphere is air conditioned sports bar vibe with screens, sport or music videos. Perfectly ok. Went a couple of times.

This is a nice restaurant to sit and watch the game over a delishious meal. The staff spoke English. They were very friendly and helpful.

Arriving in Merida, this is the first restaurant I went to. I asked the server what his favourite dish was and he said the Burrito. I ordered the Burrito with Pastor meat and it did NOT disappoint. It was SOO GOOD. I’m so sad I didn’t take a picture of it. it I will be coming back for that burrito!

The place was very busy and loud, we ordered tacos 🌮 pastor, which were delicious, quick service.
I had a huge glass of beer 😀

Grat place for a quick bite.

Excellent friendly and welcoming service. I came here after leaving the restaurant at the Mansión Mérida because of the rude barman. I'm glad I came here. The food was excellent as was the service and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

This is a most if you visit Merida. Breakfast are delicious especially chilaquiles verdes con pollo. Fast service good prices...

We arrived in Merida and took a walk down Paseo de Montejo as we heard that is the place to explore. Not true. It is just a busy street with very few food choices. We found this place by searching online. We decided to give it a try. We had excellent Pizza Al Pastor. So yummy! We also had some great Aqua de Jaimicas and guacamole. All the portions were very generous and the food was delicious! After dinner, we found the best part of Merida. Just outside of Los Trompos, we found the shops, street Vendors, and mercados. We had a great conversation with a little abuela selling roasted seeds and tamarind, etc on the street. We love México, the real México, so so much! Highly recommend that you leave the tourist areas and find the delicious food and great deals off the beaten path. Such a wonderful and lovely country with the most beautiful people!! Merida is a great city as well! We recommend Los Trompos and Merida very highly!

This place is great. Food, service and music! Yea music. They have Cuban band playing inside. We order pepperoni pizza and tacos Al pastor.DELICIOUS! They have such a wide variety of menu. Meats, pasta, pizza, tacos. The waiter was amazing Julian. Really recommend

Great tacos al pastor! We ordered the bigger plate with the tortillas on the side. We also ordered extra (med) guac and an horchata. All for $233 pesos. Great price/value. The menu has many options to choose from. The only thing i would suggest is changing/lowering the volume of the music because you’re not able to speak at a normal volume.
