Amazing and definitely worth it! They don’t charge you extra to enjoy the water and it was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend this place and you can enjoy the views and water after your meal with no time limit! Service is wonderful and they’re on top of making sure you have a drink in your hand. Parking is free and easy to come by on the street

Great beach club with plenty of space for chilling both in the sun and in the shadow. The place has a nice vibe and music so you feel in Mexican paradise, on top of that the food was delicious, we had pescado al ajillo, tostadas de atún, and brownie with ice cream 👌

Great view of the beautiful water. Access for a dip in water to cool off plus the bar and restaurant. We were staying somewhere else but stopped by here after peeking inside. Fish tacos and shrimp cocktail served us right. Agua Frescas and typical Mexican food.

Very beautiful place, yes it can ve busy even in weekdays, checking the zone looks like it's one of the best and more affordable places. It might not he the same story on busy seasons. But on a quiet weekend I cannot imagine a better place to stay 🤩 try the private boat tours! (Ask for jhonny, great person and nice boat for small groups)

We stayed 2 nights. This place is soooo beautiful and the location is amazing. The staff was super nice and the food was pretty good, too. We took a 2 hour tour in a boat from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. The sunset from their pier swings is astonishing! I am planning another trip to this hotel soon! I hope you fall in love with this place like we did!

We came here for a day during a road trip through mexico and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Great location, very friendly staff and really good food and drinks. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Did a couple of balnearios while in bacalar and this was by far our favorite. And the entry is free if you eat there (otherwise it's way more expensive then others, so it does only make sense going there if you also plan to eat there). There aren't many relax spots though. Not a problem for us since there weren't many people, but in peak high season I could see this being a problem.

I was vacation and bark alarm visiting my sister and her son. We went here to have a meal. They already knew about the restaurant and brought their bathing suits. They have a water slide for the children as well as swings and other things to enjoy. It was absolutely beautiful, tropical so many different levels and areas to sit and enjoy. We started out on the bottom outside and it started raining so we went upstairs, then it stopped raining we went downstairs to completely different part and my sister and her son swam and use the slide and jumping areas. The food was excellent service was excellent. The server followed us to all three places we went to. He was so very nice.

Wonderful place. The food is very tasty, we ordered Tacos Del Gobernador and some French fries. Also the atmosphere is wonderful, and the view is astonishing. The best part overall: THE SERVICE! The people here is just amazing, they are super friendly and helpful.

I stumbled upon this hotel by accident. We were going to see Cenote Azul and were looking for a hotel nearby. Everything about this place was excellent. Rooms were very nice and clean. The staff were always there with anything we needed. The colors of the water were amazing along with refreshing breezes made our trip outstanding! Pictures are worth a thousand words.

The place is very beautiful.
The food is very affordable and tasty, having breakfast looking over the lagoon is something else.

Be sure that you have the exact number of people that you made the reservation for, because there is no flexibility around it and they rarely have availability on site.

Perfect place to eat, relax and take a dip in the lagoon.

The staff are friendly, helpful and the food is pretty good.

The wooden walkways are nice which lead out into the lagoon and the swings are fun to sit on.

We had an absolute blast here at Los Aluxes in Bacalar. This is not a hotel room review as we only visited for the day to have lunch and ended up having dinner as well. The food was amazing, especially their shrimp in garlic and bay leaves. The reason this is a five star review is because their customer service was incredible they even climbed a palm tree to get us some fresh coconuts to enjoy fresh, as a mixed drink and even served the meat with lime and chilli powder to snack on. We all enjoyed the swings and water slide for hours and after being there for six hours we went home. Thank you Aluxes for the special attention.

A small disclamer : i always manage expections with the places im staying in so places expensive are judged by equivalent standards than cheapr ones.

We actually accidently arrived to Los aluxes hotel because our AirBnb was over booked so he booked us a room here with no extra cost,
The room hosted a king bed, coffee mechine and an AC,a balcony and a big shower.
the balcony hosts a hot tub (but it's so hot we didn't work it)
The shower has Great water pressure and hot water but do keep in mind it's not a nice five star hotel. Even though we didn't really missed anything.

The hotel itself is the main business here
The decks on the laguna are really fun to sit on and drink a couple of beers or have a breakfast.
Do consider that the sand in the first few meters in the water feels muddy , the hotel put some rubber carpets in the water to cushion this feeling.
Swings and hammocks are really nice to chill on while waiting for food from the restaurant.

The restaurant is cheap (as is bacalar in comparison to big cities) providing good and fresh dishes. Try the guacamole.

Staff is great ! everyone are super nice and helpful, not everyone speaks English but they will find someone who will, they will be happy to help call a taxi or whatever you need, but make sure they call it because sometimes they have different pace..

It's well noticed that there is no huge effort to make this hotel a "tourist trap" and it's really great to see this place keep it authenticy.

Thanks los aluxes !

We just came for the day to enjoy the lake after reading good reviews on a blog. So glad we did! At 10am, there was hardly anyone on the waterfront. We found a shady spot of lawn chairs and enjoyed the swings, swimming, and beautiful lagoon. Lunch was tasty, cervezas were close by, and even though the day pass is pricey for the area (300 for adults and 150 for children), all of that can be used towards food. We spent the entire day at Los Aluxes and felt it was well worth our time. Beautiful spot!

Very special place, as soon as I arrived I got a very pleasant vibe. This Hotel is south of the small town, 5 minute drive from the center of the town.

Once checked in, I took a tour through the hotel and was very exited to be here, every room is unique. I ended uo staying an extra night and git a diferent room. The weather was perfect during my stay. The staff was so polite and friendly.

This place was so mellow after sunset that we ended up staying on the dock till around midnight, you feel so connected with the lagoon and nature.

300 pesos for a day pass but it goes towards food in the restaurant. The meseros are all helpful and friendly, and there are lovely spots to swim or sit and enjoy the lagoon out back.

As we arrived, we were welcomed by a man who explained us we had to consume at least for 200 pesos per person. We were hungry so it wasn't a problem to us. The main room is well decorated and gives a nice sight on the shore. Quelques balançoires, some platform to chill. You can get a seebath easily and swim to join a sandbank. Last but not the least : we have eaten a delicious and hot aguachile : the best I never eaten. The shrimps were very fresh and the habaneros was generously added : hot !

Service is great, no phone service, poor Wi-Fi conection but you get to enjoy nature and that's awesome, the view its amazing, our room was clean and the bathroom had a lot of space. I would definately go back. If you wake up early you get to see the sunrise, worth it.v🌅

I still tell people to go to Bacalar and especially Los Aluxes. The food is amazing and the people are the best most friendly and helpful. The Laguna gives you a vibe that makes you want to never leave. I'll be back when this is over😎
