Black Jaguar Hostel

I sadly only got to spend one night here, but it's an amazing place with amazingly friendly people. George will make you feel like family while you stay 😊 I will definitely be coming back again. It's a great price and breakfast is provided. You're about 5-10 minute walk from the public laguna and they offer sunrise yoga discounts along with ladies open bar if you buy an appetizer from 6-8pm which I sadly missed 🥲

I hope to maybe volunteer here one summer because the people are amazing, you meet so many interesting and kind people while traveling. Thank you for allowing me to stay!

Also the most delicious cheap tacos are nearby too!! Just ask George for recommendations!

I loved it at the casa! Jorge and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

They provide breakfast with fruit, coffee, and toast for breakfast included.

The wifi is solid and always working well.

Excellent cold ac at night. The shower is nice.

There are two chill hang-out spots up on top of the house with electric outlets to use.

There are large lockers to put the entire suitcase or backpack inside.

He trusts us with a towel without needing to make a deposit.

I wish I had more time to spend in Bacalar. It’s such a tranquil and majestic city. The lagoon water is clear.

You have to see it to believe it.

This is a really nice hostel to meet new people and have a familiar atmosphere. The hostel owner is like a daddy for all the traveller woho stay there. He takes care of everything and I give you all the informstion you need.

The accommodation looks fancy . The hostel owner has created / made it by himself.

I enjoy my stay here and I would definitely come back to his hodtel when I return to Bacalar.

Perfect rustic hostel close to the lagoon and centre of town

Friendly and inviting place offering a spectacular sunrise paddle board tour. Nice (vegan) breakfast available, and coffee too. It's a little further from the lake than some, but it's close to the bus station which makes things super easy with backpacks. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice hostel. Managers are very friendly and helpful. Free bicycles to borrow (not the highest quality, but they are free). Awesome rooftop patio with a hammock in the shade. Also an area on the rooftop to stargaze at night. Great value for money. Recommend.

We had such a beautiful time in Bacalar thanks to our marvelous host Lola. Lola was the highlight of our stay here. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel like we were at home. I am definitely coming back to spend time and enjoy the laid back lifestyle of Bacalar. Gracias Lola y Eek Balaam hasta pronto!

I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. The staff were great and it was in a good spot I thought, It also wasn't expensive.

Cool little place in Bacalar to stay.

Cette auberge est l'un des meilleurs endroits où j'ai séjourné en deux mois de voyage au Mexique. Elle est très bien situé, à 10 min à pied de la plage et de la centrale ADO. Les chambres sont confortables et propres, il y a de l'eau chaude dans la douche. Le petit déjeuner servi le matin est délicieux ! L'ambiance est chill et propice pour de belles rencontres. C'est comme une petite maison pour tous les voyageurs qui y restent, et c'est grâce à Jorge, une personne incroyable qui veille à ce que tout le monde se sente comme à la maison.
Si je reviens à Bacalar un jour j'y retournerai sans hésitation !!

L’hostel a du charme. Il fait local. Le gérant est super sympathique, il communique beaucoup, il est arrangeant et aidant.

Esta un poco elevado de precio para el tipo de lugar que ofrece pero es de los más económicos en la zona, no me gustó mucho la atención del personal pero para dormir está bien. Tiene sábanas limpias y colchones cómodos
