Veleando Ando

This was our second tour of the lagoon with Veleando Ando. Just like the first experience, we had the most relaxing and enjoyable time on the boat and in the lagoon. We stopped twice to enjoy a swim and Mario and Alejandro explained the history of Bacalar and the lagoon along the journey. Highly recommend taking a sail tour with Veleando Ando!

We chose this company because it focuses on being environmentally sustainable and we are really glad we did. We did a sunset cruise with David who is a very skilled sailor and a great guide. We sailed around the lagoon and got to see the sunset together. We also did the the longer cruise two days later with Mario and Samuel. That one included hopping off the boat into the water in a few different areas of the lagoon as well as an amazing fruit plate. Both were incredible experiences and we learned a lot about the lagoon and got to see some great spots from different vantage points. Highly recommend Veleando Ando.

Amazing experience. We loved this tour. Lovely 4 hours visiting the lagoon. We were offered beers, water and fruits. We stopped at two different locations for swimming. We would have loved to stop at Isla dos Pajaros as well but we were told there was no time. I would have switched happily the first stop for that but we were a group, not a private tour. The crew was friendly and competent. The lagoon is amazing and I would recommend this experience.

Beautiful experience! The guides were awesome! The places we visited, no words for those, absolutely beautiful!!! Plus we were given fruits, non alcoholic drinks and beers during the trip! 5 stars and I would give more if I could! Excellent service!!!

Good vibes in the nautico club, briefing with David, the team is very nice. They let us tour around the lagoon by ourselves on a small catamaran. Best way to travel around, we took 3 hours, it’s good enough, but honestly you could take a whole afternoon to go far.
Recommend if you want to sail by yourself.

My partner and I greatly enjoyed our sail on the lagoon. We got to stop at the pirates channel for a dip, as well as at the wonderful bird island. Captain David was an absolute blast. He showed us around in style, and made a delicious drink for us to share. He also showed off his serious skills and talents for us. He’s more than just a great captain! Don’t hesitate, book yourselves a sunset sail now!

My Mom and I booked a 4 hour sailing trip with Veleando Ando Tours and it was such a pleasant experience. Our captain's name was Gonzalo and he was awesome! The boat we were on fit about 14 of us comfortably. It was a very relaxing sight-seeing tour with two opportunities for swimming. The boat had an area for shade and a small cabin, which was a useful escapse from the sun if needed. Water, lemonade and fresh fruit was included - this was a very nice touch!

Tip: I would recommend checking with the company what type of boat you will be on before you go, because some of the boats do not have shade. We got lucky because we did not check beforehand about this.

We did a private tour of 4 hours and booked last minute on site. They made an effort to a accommodate our schedule and offered very good prices. Our sailer Leo was definitely one of the highlight of our experience. He’s definitely in his happy place and it’s wonderful to see him do his thing. Plus, he went above and beyond to make sure we were having the best time. Thanks again Leo and we can’t wait to be back!

Very peaceful non-motorized excursion. It was quiet and peaceful and really enjoyed the crystal clear water. Captain Mike was great!

This company really cares about the protection of Bacalar Lagoon. Choosing to tour with a sailboat instead of a motorized boat helps to keep the lagoon clear and beautiful, as well as protect the wildlife. Our group had such an awesome time with Diego, our tour guide. He was extremely informative and his passion for sailing really made the experience special! We were able to swim in three different areas, and see two cenotes as well as the bird island sanctuary. Fruit and lemonade were prepared for us as well! We highly recommend going with Veleando Ando for your tour!

I really enjoyed my first sailing tour of the Laguna with David and Vaneando Ando. The boat is a small catamaran, comfortable for up to 4 people. David handled it well, though there was little wind, gave us helpful information about the area and treated us well. We had two blissful swim stops, a look at the black Cenote, and a good long stop at a protected bird island. When we spotted rare roseate spoonbills David went out of his way to try for a closer look. David speaks English well and answered all our questions. He served us cerveza, fruit and a delicious agua he made himself. I feel lucky to have booked this low-key, peaceful tour of the Laguna. Cheers!

We went sailing on a catamaran with Diego and it was a great experience. He explained many things to us andbrought us to see different parts of the lagoon. They are the only tours that are very adamant about preserving the ecosystem of the lagoons, choosing to sail as much as possible instead of using motor boats. They are also the only ones in the lagoon that have electric motors! We highly recomment this place :)

Awesome experience on the great bacalar lagoon. We were in the water for about 4 hours and saw the diversity of the lagoon. Must do and prices are the best for groups, by far!

I couldn’t recommend Veleando Ando more. The company is super professional and offers a great service. We really enjoyed our 3.5 hours trip in Bacalar Lagoon, where the boat captain Valencia brought us to the best highlights. Valencia was really friendly and explained us really nicely the history of Bacalar. He also gave us great suggestions of where to eat local food. The boat itself was amazing (better than all other boats of different agencies) and we got offered local fresh fruits and drinks. Unlike other tours I have done in Mexico this one felt really chill and not rushed. We also forgot to bring towels with us but the lady at the reception fixed some towels for us. We really recommend this place 10/10.

We had a great time on the cruise. Valencia an Jose took great care of the guests. They made sure we always had full drinks, and made a great fruit plate for us at our last stop.

Today I participated on a sailing tour with a group of people and aome guides to see the solar eclipse in the middle of the lake. It was a magical to see it while being on the lake. Also the guides told us more about the history of the channel of the pirates, offered us food and bring us, after some hours, safe back to the land. I can highly recommend to book a tour here! Thanks a lot!

Very knowledgeable people, in sailing and bacalar history, we ask for a private tour for 2 people with one hour notice, they made all effort to make it happen, they pamper us so well, they provide seasonal fruit drinks and beers, they charge a ridiculous amount of money when we ask to upgrade for the biggest sail boat they have, very happy, they were very flexible in the payment since we don't have the full amount in pesos,

5 Star, we had an amazing sailing trip with Veleando Ando. It was our first time in Bacalar, we really enjoy our trip. The lake was the most crystal clear water I have every seen. Our guide is very profession sailing, we didn't feel any sea sick at all. Highly recommend to go with this tour.
