What a must is this trip with a sailboat! We were able to board at our stay and were received very friendly by Jorge and Suzy. We were given an explanation about the boat and the trip we were going to make. Jorge speaks good English which was very nice. He translated for Suzy, so we could chat with her too.
From the moment we started sailing it was very pleasant. Jorge and Suzy do everything to make the trip unforgettable. They both have a lot of knowledge about the area and are very sweet and helpful! during 1 of the swimming moments they made a delicious lunch and we got cold beer and water. What a good service! The trip was really beautiful and we wouldn't have missed it for the world. Jorge and Suzy you are fantastic!

I took the sailing tour yesterday with my sister and had so much fun! Jorge, our guide was both professional and entertaining which resulted in a perfect three hours.
The highlight of the tour, for me, was when we stopped at one of the many sandbars in the lagoon. We were able to hop out of the boat and take a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters.
Jorge taught us lots of valuable knowledge on both the history and ecology of the lagoon as well as teaching us some tips on sailing!
The tour ended with a selection of delicious fruits and music to take us back to the dock.
I really could not recommend this experience enough. It was so special, Thank you Jorge!

Last week 4 of us took a fabulous and peaceful sail with Jorge. He was very informative of the sites we saw. The cenotes , the pirates channel, bird island , the swimming and just points of interest along the way. Jorge's English is perfect and he was professional and engaging.
The sailing in itself was amazing. The fresh fruit was a nice and refreshing touch. We will definitely call Jorge next time we are in Bacalar, we truly enjoyed our afternoon. ⛵

We booked the 11am Sailing Tour with Jorge and it was just awesome. He is such a nice guy, gave us a lot of information about Bacalar and the Lagoon. Jorge and his team take care about the ecosystem and keep the tours in small groups.

The Lagoon is georgous and you really see the 7 colors 🤗 The tour costs a bit more than the one that are located directly at the lagoon front but it's worth it!

Great experience with an amazing Captain (Jorge). Passionate about his work and about nature, he made us live a unique moment (with a touch of humour and a lot of good vibes). This 3-hour sailboat ride on the lagoon was worth it!

This was a really, really great way to see laguna Bacalar, the insane 7 colours blue waters, hidden cenotes and just a great sail. My BF is a experienced sailer and he loved it and was even sailing himself. She’s a lovely host and passionate sailor. Recommend it!

Jorge and Susi were fantastic tour guides. They sailed the lagoon smoothly, were informative and fun to have around. We booked the 2 hour sunset tour and made a few stops on the way to enjoy the space and swim in the clear lagoons. We were served cold beers and fresh fruit! They also had a Bluetooth speaker for us to connect to. Recommend!!

We had a super fun sailing tour with our fun captain Jorge! During the three hours we sailed to all the important ‘must see’s’ on the lagoon, of course with al the necessary explanations from Jorge. We had enough time to enjoy a few dips in the water and especially enjoyed the fruit with Tajin 😍. Excellent if you want to see the lagoon, have a nice time and not feel like a tourist! Btw: ask for Jorge’s recommendations for Bacalar, they are great!

This sailing tour was amazing if you’re looking for an ecological way to see the Bacalar Lagoon and to have a top tier sailor. We sailed with Jorge as our captain and had a great time! Communication before the tour was great with Jorge and during the tour we even got to stop off at a secluded spot to have a swim. We got free fruit and drinks on the boat and Jorge even taught us some Spanish! A must do for anyone visiting Bacalar :)

Captain Jorge was great. We got to swim and see the sites around Bacalar Lagoon. He served us fresh fruit, waters, beer, etc. Captain Jorge is a super friendly guy. We highly recommend.

Me and my friends called last minute to book a boat tour and the stuff was super friendly and easy and quickly sent me a confirmation of the reservation.
The weather wasn’t the best but Captain Jorge made this boat tour the highlight of our Bacalar trip, not only is he super passionate and knowledgeable about what he does but he was super friendly and connected with us making sure we enjoyed the full trip. He also spoke perfect English which helped my friends as they don’t speak any Spanish.

We had an amazing sailing trip with Jorge and Susie as our captains. Both are super friendly, fun and know a lot about the beautiful lagoon and it’s history. Not one of those super touristy boat rides.

My friends and I had an amazing time sailing with Captain Jorge. He was an incredible good guide !!! Taught us a few things on how to navigate, told us story about the lagoon and helped us taking pictures.

Tour was def worth it. Better to do sail boat over the other tour boats to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake. Jorge and Maria, captain and co-captain, do an excellent job during the whole trip. Great communication and create a great atmosphere. The sail boat is not the same than the one advertised but still a very nice experience, highly recommended.

Jorge and Maria were the best tour guides and provided us with an unforgettable experience. They are very knowledgeable about the beautiful Bacalar lagoon. Definitely recommend taking a sailboat. The tranquillity is unique.

Capitán Melany was an absolutely wonderful guide and her first mate Abel was funny, sweet, and very knowledgeable. She spotted a rose spoonbill on isla de pajeros from a distance and got us over there just in time to see it close. She gave us great recommendations on other -off the beaten path- things to do in the area. It is apparent that she cares deeply for the ecology of this precious lagoon and I feel honored to have met her.

Bonus points for her super cute and friendly dog, Bobbie, who came to to dock to see us safely on our way.

*Take this tour before anything else you do in Bacalar. Jorge suggested some great alternatives to Los Rapidos so we could be more ecologically aware tourists.

If you want to explore the lagoon responsibly (which you should), take this tour. Our guides Jorge and Susie were incredibly friendly, informative, and passionate about leaving minimal impact on the lagoon. While it looks tempting to take a motor boat and go into restricted territory, I felt more at ease with following guidelines Jorge set out for us and appreciated the whimsy of the sailboat. It was incredibly fun.

There were some issues leaving the dock, but the crew worked really hard to get the boat up and running again. I appreciated their sailing expertise.

Would highly recommend this tour! Jorge was a fantastic guide and this day was a highlight of my holiday so far. Not to be missed!
