I have been looking for a good breakfast place and found El Manati. Besides the food they have lots of local hand made ornaments and wall arts. We bought some decorative stuff for our home. Backyard of it is beautiful. The food and everything else is very good. They had live music the next day when we went there second time. Helpful staff and good service. I would go there again.

Come here for brunch - you won’t regret it. The best coffee and breakfast I have had in beautiful surroundings. I can’t wait to come back.

The service is amazing - they even changed my coffee when I ordered the wrong thing, without making me feel stupid. Their English is a lot better than my Spanish! 🤣

We got chilaquiles (rojo and mole) and they were delicious. I was sad that the mole one didn’t come with an egg. There were A LOT of bees in the garden. The people t the table close by had to move because there were bees practically eating their meal once they put honey on it. Then the bees came to us. So outside seating seemed a little tough. But the food was pretty good. I would eat there again, but maybe inside

The Chilaquiles with Mole was huge and the best I've had in Mexico so far. My mom is a vegetarian and finally felt satisfied in Mexico to her standards. Lots of vegan options.

Really cool, artistic space with an amazing garden out back. Fantastic coffee. Great food that came out quickly. Nice shopping. My BLT was very good, however the toast on top was too hard and the bread on bottom was soft and falling apart. The fresh mango juice was very nice. We all really enjoyed ourselves.

I recently visited El Manati and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. The restaurant had a nice cozy feel to it, we loved sitting outdoor. They have a art gallery space too..

The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to all of our needs, and they even helped my baby choose a dish that was safe for him to eat, taking into account his allergies.

Now, let's talk about the food. I have to say, the dishes we had were absolutely delicious! The fish burger was definitely the highlight of the meal for me. It was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful flavor. I also loved the Burrito, which was stuffed with tasty ingredients and had a satisfying crunch to it.

We also ordered the dates oats bar, which was a lovely dessert that was not too sweet. To wash it all down, we had the Guava smoothie, which was fresh and delicious, and the Lemonade with coconut water which was very refreshing.

Overall, I would definitely return to this restaurant!

First time I got the pancakes with the huevos rancheros. They took a while on the cakes and both came out at the same time. I had to send the huevos rancheros back to get heat up by the time I was done with the cakes. The food is on point but could use some salt. The coffee is definitely high quality, it’s full of flavor.

Second time I got the huevos rancheros again with a chocolate cake slice and a mango smoothie. The habanero salsa is so addictive, but it is spicy. It’s worth the pain though.

Highly recommend this place. Will keep coming back when I’m around. The atmosphere is relaxing. It’s homey, makes you feel like you’re sitting on your own backyard

Delicious food, we ordered the Chilaquiles and Coconut Tostadas. The service was quick. Sat in the lovely garden at the back and enjoyed a stroll through the art space after.

Excellent service, every single one of the staff is super friendly ad very welcoming. The place it's absolutely stunning 😍 and the art gallery inside its very pretty. The food its Excellent and a good price. I do recommend this place honestly have a try and enjoy.

They don't have wifi in the garden area, and you will find some mosquitos around but the staff provided some repellent.

More than a restaurant, this is a project. Entice your senses: your mouth and nose through the tastes and aromas of the food and drinks. Your eyes with the food presentation, the art gallery, the vegetation in the garden, and all the handmade products on sale in this special space. You ears through the birds chirping in the garden, the music in the gallery, the sounds of people hard at work cutting bread, cooking, or just walking in the pebbles. Your touch through the textures in the food, the clothes and artefacts on sale, and much more. Food wise we tried a couple of smoothies, one custom made and the other the rocket which I highly recommend. I then had the Mayan omelette, and we also tried the vegan pancakes. Everything was top-notch. Mi

I visited El Manatí twice: really nice decor, peaceful garden area on the back, and really friendly staff. There's also an art gallery where you can buy prints etc. plus local coffee and food items. The food was really tasty, no problem with finding multiple vegetarian options, delicious smoothies. Great for breakfast or brunch!

Highly recommend for brunch! We visited without a reservation and managed to get a long sharing table. We waited quite some time for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. There's a fantastic atmosphere - they even have live music for brunch. Definitely recommend!

Please allow the record to reflect that I did not dine at this spot. My mom and I were walking the city center and spotted the beautiful entry way. The venue didn’t open until 8:30 am, it was about 7:45 am and the manager encouraged and allowed us to explore/visit the art gallery and garden. This place is absolutely stunning. The menu looked extensive, the gift shop has lovely sustainable and local products from clothes, bath/skin care and spices. Please don’t skip visiting this place and try some of their food that comes highly recommended. We were departing soon so we needed to get back to our hotel. Should I visit Bacalar again, and I do imagine that I will, I will make this a first stop for breakfast or lunch.

The art gallery tells the story of nature and particularly sea life. I’ve only seen similar artwork in Mauritius, Africa and Coney Island, New York that have moved me like this. There were also some abstract pieces. And the garden was absolutely adorable.

I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you.

We ended up eating here twice during our short trip in Bacalar and was the best breakfast/brunch in town. Amazing smoothies, great coffee. The omelette is fantastic and the chilaquiles also great. Such a beautiful garden out the back, sit amongst the palm trees and flowers to eat. A great mix of healthy “gringo” and Mexican food.

This restaurant is one of the most beautiful we went to Bacalar. Very quaint, artsy and hippie vibes in the restaurant as well as the connected art gallery and store that sells clothing, crafts, and artisanal food. The coconut ceviche was delicious! The mole chilaquiles were good as well. Lots of healthy, organic, and gluten-free options.

Great Cafe / Restaurant tucked inside with a little shop and art gallery. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the food was amazing! They also had gluten free desserts, that I would highly recommend. All the food was reasonably priced also. Definitely check out this place.

A special spot. Art, music and excellent food and drinks in a really beautiful garden setting. The staff are very friendly. Their tour information was great and they hooked us up with a private sail on the lagoon. A must-go when in Bacalar.
