Three of us went to La Sicilia Restaurante on a Monday evening. We arrived at 7:30, and inside portion of the restaurant was ½ full , we opted to sit outside and were able to get last available table in the charming and rustic open-air backyard space. To start, we shared an order of garlic bread. For our dishes I had the baked ziti pasta, which had a delicious light marinara sauce that I could tell was freshly made along with cheese. Others in our group enjoyed the lasagna, and a fish dish, which unfortunately arrived undercooked. However, the staff promptly addressed the issue, and after a short wait, it was returned fully cooked. We washed it all down with a nice bottle of chianti. For dessert, we had carajillos and shared a tiramisu.

The service was very attentive, and it seemed that everybody spoke English, if needed.

The prices were remarkably reasonable, considering the quality of the food, totaling $1400 before tip.

4.5/5 stars for its excellent service, delicious food, and atmosphere.

Authentic American Italian food. This family is from New Jersey and it’s like having Sunday at your Nonna’s. Absolutely amazing food. My spaghetti a’loio was delicious. Outstanding, friendly service.

Visiting from USA. I got the cherry wine chicken pasta fettuccine. It was delicious! My partner got pepperoni pizza & spaghetti bolognese. He liked it. I got the mango margarita frozen- it had no alcohol, I should have sent it back. Must get the tiramisu- sooo fresh!

Overall, I would come again!!!

Really enjoyed this restaurant, Italian American style food. Overall everything was really tasty and very good prices. Service was good and very much recommended the burrata!
We also ate the arancini, buratta with arugula, gnocchi pesto, zuppa de frutti de Mari and cheesecake. Everything was really good, drinks are weak and they don’t use quality tequila, but overall a great experience. Would return

Having read such glowing reviews, we decided to give La Sicilia a try. The food was very good; we shared a Cesar salad and garlic bread, then had lasagne and shrimp scampi. My husband had a margarita and a michelada - both were very good. They use fresh, quality ingredients and both dishes were well-seasoned. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cozy and the decor is simple but tasteful. We will definitely be going back.

Very good and fresh food. We had the vodka pasta and the taste was amazing and the spaghetti had good texture. We also had the shrimp scampi with broccoli (vegetable of the day) and the scampi had good taste and structure. The sauce tasted much and was a good combination with the shrimps and broccoli.

The place was cozy and had good prices for the quality of the food (vodka pasta 120 pesos, shrimp scampi 215 pesos).

It was cozy interior wich we appreciated. It’s just outside of the city center so there is quite a lot of cars driving by.

If you are looking for good quality food with a good price and cozy interior, this is the place :)

A very comfortable spot with a great menu. Many options to choose from. Staff is friendly and attentive. If you're a martini lover, this is not the ace for you as they are heavy handed with the vermouth

What a lovely experience this was. Just a few minutes walk from the Plaza there is this little Italian restaurant with great staff that are passionate to make one's visit as pleasant as possible.
As for the dishes: we had garlic bread, lasagne and the special: stuffed fish with spinach and ricotta with rice. Absolutely fingerlicking good 👌🏻Not too mention the tiramissu. Delicious 😋!!!
The ambience is very nice and the interior is very tasteful. Highly recommended 👍🏻

We had read the great reviews for this restaurant and decided to try it out for ourselves. The place is very cozy and we were greeted warmly. We orded some wine and perused through the menu. We shared the caprese salad which was great. I had the lasagne which was very flavourful. Steve had the chicken masala which he loved. We finished our meal by sharing the tiramisu which was fabulous. We had a lovely time and a really nice way to celebrate our last evening in Merida. Highly recommend. Go there and enjoy.

Newly opened Italian restaurant in the Centro Historical District that serves authentic Italian cuisine. All ingredients are fresh sourced locally. It was a delightful surprise from the local Mayan cuisine. We enjoyed the stuffed flounder florentine was delivered delicate and served piping hot. The pasta 🍝 was prepared perfectly, and the tomato sauce was excellent! Whether you are veagan, vegetarian or carnivore this place will tantalize your appetite!

La Sicilia is new in the neighborhood so after checking out the rave reviews, we went by for dinner. It has a very romantic vibe and it's very nicely decorated. We started out with a caprese salad and some wine. Next, my partner had the lasagne, a great choice. I saw photos of the chicken masala online and had to order it. It was a nice big portion with lots of mushrooms and plenty of the masala sauce. It was delicious. We were full but the waiter, who was just the right amount of friendly, suggested that we try the house made tiramisu. It was so good. We totally recommend this place. Just show up hungry.

We had been hearing good things about this restaurant since it opened a few years ago (we are snowbirds who have been coming to this city for the past 5 winters) and finally had dinner there tonight. We weren't disappointed! My husband ordered the Chicken Piccata, and I opted for the Filetto di Pomodoro (pasta with a fresh tomato and basil sauce that included both onions and a little prosciutto) that was simply divine! Large portions, attentive service, reasonable prices -- we'll definitely be back!

We stopped in for cocktails and enjoyed some delicious margaritas. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. We ended up having some dessert as well, which was really good.

Hidden gem in downtown Mérida. I went there with my family and really enjoyed the experience. Ordered a Caesar salad and garlic bread as apetizers, and we had to order seconds. We also had a couple of pizzas that are, in my opinion, some of best We ever had; the Palermo and the Italian sausage. 100% recommended, and prices are very accessible. We paid less th1n $900 mxn for 5 people.

The place is small, although they have two AC inside, be prepared to feel a little hot, this is Merida, the Sicilian arugula salad can improve, the flavor is correct but the stams of the arugula were very hard, The garlic bread excellent, the shrimp scampi delicious and aromatic, the eggplant parmigiana excellent, all in perfect portions, but the pizza Palermo, it is large for a single person, the mozzarella cheese can be accommodated or cut better so that when taking bites it is easier for the diner, but rich flavor, we also tried the cannelloni And the touch of anise was special, you can't have crunchy cannelloni in humid weather, still perfect, we will be back to try more of the menu

It's tough to find good 'ole American style Italian food in Mérida (chicken parmesan, cannoli, etc.), so if you're looking, this place is it. Casual atmosphere, friendly service, and good value portions and prices.

A quiet place in a busy square. The mussels were great. Nice eggplant Parmigiano and lemon flounder. The wait staff were very pleasant.

Amazing food, the bruschetta was delicious. The pasta was so fresh and the frozen margaritas were the best I’ve had in Mexico! The waiters were attentive and the owner came out to chat with us which I thought was a special touch.
