Min Thu Restaurant

Love this place! We ate there several times during our stay in Ngapali. Why? The food is excellent and extremely well priced.
Anything from fried rice to fresh seafood is better prepared than the expensive hotel kitchens around.

Try the steamed seafood (crab, lobster or prawns) or the prawn cashew with rice.

Do make a reservation, this place is very popular with locals and tourists.

This restaurant is great I hope more people come visit. It has a reasonable price and a good portion of food. The curry is amazing and tastes good. I especially recommend the fried soft shell crab, it's my favorite. Generally, everything on the menu is good. There are almost no flaws about this restaurant. If I had to make one flaw about this, it's probably gonna be the furniture. (Aka. atmosphere) It's decent, but I wish it had some air conditioner due to the extremely hot weather. Other than that, everything is great and I really recommend coming here if you're in Ngapali.

We came here twice. Food is very tasty. Apart from fish and seafood, try soup with coconut and noodles.

Min Thu is the owner and goes to a lot of trouble to ensure you have a good time and get the food you like. I affectionately nicknamed Min Thu "Minty" he loves it and if you get to the beach early enough ( About 5am) you can get to see the fish that Minty will be serving that day. Beautiful.

Best restaurant in Ngapali Beach area. I would highly recommend making a dinner reservation ahead of time as it is a very popular dinner spot among tourists. We ordered the prawn coconut curry, fried barracuda fillet, coconut rice and red snapper sashimi. The staff at Min Thu are very accommodating and even put together a vegetable coconut curry for us (even though there’s not one on the menu.) The seafood is SO FRESH. When at Min Thu, you absolutely must try the sashimi. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful dining experience ❤

Really nice food. Coconut curries (tried the prawn and fish) were really nice. Lobster was expensive by Myanmar standards (35k kyat) but was very fresh and chips that came with it were superb (like English chipshop chips but extra crispy so even better). Tea leaf and avocado salads were also very nice and fresh. Prices were good (meal for 5 including seafood cost 85k in total), service was pretty fast and plenty of fans meant the place wasn't too hot. Also didn't notice any mosquitoes.

The curry paste is flavorful and prices are reasonable.

Great place to eat. Especially fish and seafood is fresh and fantastic. Popular with tourists and locals as well. Good for lunch and dinner. Not so crowded at the lunchtime, much more in the evening. The waitress was fast, helpful and friendly. I will visit Min Thu again during my next stay in Ngapali.

Authentic Lokal handmade Rakhine food - wild catch Fish as you can smell immedeadly - sometimes crowded by locals and tourists - food needs time then so share on your table. Place reservation during season - for me best authentic food and it’s my seventh time at Ngapali

Good food with fair price. Seafood and Rakhine style food are mainly available. Some Chinese and Thai foods are also available.
You can ask them for food delivery services.
