After arriving at Kawthoung airport and a wild ride on the back of a scooter of an old man I arrived at the port of Kawthoung and some guys directly approached me and led me to the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism which is really close to the longtail-boat pier. The office closes around 16:30 officially. I arrived at 16:10 and everything went smoothely. After talking to a strangely nice person (which smelled a lot like alcohol) and a discussion about the fee for the boat (he tried to cheat after I finally sat in the boat) I finally left Myanmar heading towards Thailand. The ride takes around 20 mins and the boat stops at a small island where military police checks the boat briefly. No fear. The skipper knew where to drop me off and I arrived at Saphan Pla Pier in Thailand (there might be another stop before but simply don't leave before you've entered a real harbour area). After leaving the boat I walked towards an immigration checkpoint which was supposed to be closed (don't know the exact time anymore) but there was still one lady who got the visa ready within a few minutes and everything was fine (I wondered what would've happened if the office was closed because no one checked the visa after leaving the pier).
