I loved staying here, my room was so beautiful and private. The food was good and the massage wonderful..The people who work there are the kindest people. Alot of stairs to get around, I didn't mind, but if you have knee problems, beware..

A stunning upscale oasis a short distance from the rain forest. Initially, I was disappointed to see that my tour changed our accommodations to this lodge rather than the other well known lodge in this area. However after staying there and experiencing the superb level of service and amenities this lodge has to offer, I am happy that we ended up here. Every single meal we've had here was top notch, perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. The attention to detail is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. Again, their attention to detail is amazing. The setting is not as connected to the rainforest but it ended up being a nice escape after chasing lemurs all day in the deep undergrowth.

Tip: Room 1 to 5 is closest to the restaurant, front desk, spa and pool. Those will also have the best, unobstructed view of the sunset!

Adored Mantadia Lodge. The entire hotel has been thoughtfully built and is looked after very well. The position is breathtaking. The mist that rises above the rainforest and pool in the mornings is so special. The staff are wonderful and the guests are great, too.

Great service! Friendly and very efficient staff, very attentive, especially at the restaurant.
Nice to have a massage at the spa after a hike in the rainforest. Unfortunately we did not make use of the pool as it was raining and too cold (August).
One thing that the room is lacking is a mosquito net, which we would have preferred to have.

A very pleasant surprise for our first two nights kicking off a month exploring Madagascar. Mantadia Lodge is a beautiful respite atop a hill near Adasibe and Mantadia parks. Excellent food, comfortable rooms, and friendly service all around.

We've had an amazing 4-days stay at Mantadia lodge. If you're looking for accessible luxury, great views and extremely helpful staff this is the place to be.

We've enjoyed our stay and the personal touch that is offered (like staff knowing your drink order by heart or a personalized table at the restaurant). Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast on our last day and the hotel offered us a picknick breakfast without us even having to ask us, such great service.

Highly recommend coming to this hotel for everyone visiting the area.

Service here is legitimately 5 star. English speaking staff made it easy for me as an American. Food was delicious each night and breakfast was good as well. Rooms are beyond anything else available in Madagascar.

Great water pressure. Great wifi. A+

Stunning forest setting, modern decor, and incredible food, this lodge stands out amidst the more traditional options in the area.

The lodge's beautiful location immerses you in nature, offering a tranquil escape from the outside world. The modern decor adds elegance while seamlessly blending with the surroundings, creating a soothing atmosphere.

The food at Mantadia Lodge is also great.

545,000 for a double room. We came to visit in person before making a booking, ultimately decided to pass in favor of an all inclusive option in Saint Marie. Dealbreakers for us included the fact that the pool is not heated even during the winter. Second, breakfast is not included - 50,000 pp extra bringing the total price 645,000AR or 142USD. In our opinion, the value is not quite there. 5 stars in any case for service, location, and rooms.

Restaurant is beautiful and coffee is delicious (though expensive).

Modern feel hotel with enthusiastic and pleasant staff. The manager is very friendly and attentive to the needs of his customers. The same can be said of the staff. Rooms were spacious with lots of natural light. The addition of charbon stoves was an added bonus for wet season. Very clean and modern amenities. Water was hot. Electricity was good (it was scheduled due to a cyclone but reliably scheduled). Beds were super comfortable. Food was second to none. Amazing quality food and a great variety of menu options. The restaurant was open style with great views of the mountains and lots of natural light. We will be staying there again! Thanks for the great experience even during a cyclone!

Stunning rooms atop a hill, situated minutes from the national parks offering a pool, beautiful dining area, and land to roam. Don’t miss a jungle night walk or sunrise from heat to hear and see lemurs and indri.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location overlooking the Madagascar rainforest. My friend and I rented two adjoined rooms for a two-night stay in February 2023.

The rooms are excellent; spacious, modern, well-designed with lots of natural light, comfortable beds, and the highlight was the hot shower with great water pressure and amenities. Definitely the best shower I had in all of Madagascar. There is AC in the room and plenty of convenient outlets, including one that I could plug my American devices into directly (see pic).

The service is great; staff are friendly and most speak pretty good English. When my travel friend was stomach sick (not from the hotel food, from another place) they were very kind and sent me with some white rice and bread for her. I can only speak from my experience as an American white woman though, it's concerning to see other reviews about racist behavior towards local Malagasy guests.

The two dinners I had were delicious (roast duck in honey sauce, pasta, rum, and creme brulee) though expensive compared to other places. The breakfast options were decent, but limited. For the prices charged and the quality of breakfast served, it should really just be included in the price of the hotel.

Due to the hotel being up on a hill, mosquitos are not much a problem here as they are in other parts of town, which was a huge relief for us after some other hotel stays where we had to hide in our mosquito nets all the time.

Agreed with other reviewers on the internet not being great in the rooms - I'm a digital nomad, and I could only get my work done and take calls while working from the restaurant area, which had solid wifi. That said, it was still way better than other hotels I stayed in across Madagascar.

There will be bugs on the property, you are near the rainforest, it's a fact of life here. Be sure to keep your windows shut and you will be fine. Most creatures want to avoid you as much as you want to avoid them.

Amenities I did not try and thus can't review: the spa and the pool (I did dip my hand in the pool, and the water felt lovely, nice and cool).

Overall, 5 stars with the exception of a few small things noted above.

Everything about this trip was wonderful. The hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. Rooms included air conditioner and a fireplace which the staff would light if you asked. The food was delicious. Everyone was super helpful and friendly.

We also enjoyed walking down the hill to the town. The people were friendly and helped us out. We walked to the park where we were able to hike through the forest and find lemurs as well as other native animals and plant life.

Beautiful views and north American level comfort. Best beds in Madagascar by far. Food was also top notch but selection is a bit limited. I recommend the nightly malagasy featured dish as it was excellent every night. Hot water in the shower but ran out quickly with 2 showers back to back. Great pool area. Drinks are bit pricey.

A magic place to stay! A very good restaurant and, in my opinion, the best rooms in Madagascar. Clean, modern, with a fast internet connection (probably the best I've experienced on the island) and a astonishing view on the rain forest.
