The staff were friendly. This is a dormitory-style refuge located perfectly at the base. In February it was warm inside the rooms and only needed a small 3-season sleeping bag.
The toilets are basic and there are 2 traditional and Western ones, two shower rooms with hot water. Get your toilet paper and soap. There is a small shop where you can buy some basic supplies! Can get noisy at night so get earplugs if you need a good night sleep!

Fantastic base for a range of 4000m peaks. Guides do a great job of maintaining the refuge and serving foid/drink.
It's not luxury 5 star accommodation, it's a mountain lodge

We've decided to buy 2 days trip organized by Refuge du Tubkal. Transport waited for us in front of Cafe de France in Marrakesh and took us to Imlil. Our guide Hassan waited for us in Imlil so we could start climbing to Refuge Immediately. We made several stop in the way and had lunch at Sidi Chamharouch the shrine where king of Jinns is buried. Lunch was very good. After arrival to refuge we've got good dinner. Next day in the morning at 5.30 after a brief breakfast we started our climb to Jbel Tubkal. It was't difficult in terms of required technical skills but above 4000 m it required to make more frequent stops. It was quite windy and cold on top. At the beginning of March temperature was -11degC and it was difficult to take pictures as hands taken out of gloves were freezing. But the views were magnificent and it was definitely worth of all the effort taken to be there. We've been back in Refuge at 11. We had lunch in Sidi and arrived to Imlil at 2pm. Seeing many mules on the way to Refuge and back, I decided to buy a mule shoe. Our taxi driver before going back to Marrakesh took us to to a local blacksmith in Imlil who sold us a few mule shoes as souvenirs. As everybody knows horse shoes bring luck so must be with mule shoes. The fact that mule shoes are smaller doesn't affect the amount of luck in brings, I think :).

A refuge at 3200m. Warm, WiFi, and food was great. Staff and people around were all cool and I have come back every year And will carry on to do so

We did a two day Toubkal trek. Our guide was Usef and he was outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the area, mountain and climbing. He was patient and provided everything we needed. The company was well organized and accommodating. I highly recommend Usef and Refuge du Toubkal.

The views from Toubkal are impressive, but the atmosphere of the hostel even more so. A really pleasant place full of passionate people. Very friendly staff, and the dinner was plentiful, like a huge feast. I heartily recommend, even getting up at 3:30 will be a pleasure here! 🏔

Simple as it's usually in mountain huts. We stayed during March with some minus temperature outside, premises is quite cold, but in the evening they start fireplaces which create cozy places to spent. It's ok for overnight stays before heading to surrounding peaks or trekking.

The place is pretty comfortable and warm for a shelter at 3200 m. The rooms are quite big (16 person each), so unless you don't mind other people snoring, make sure you've got your earplugs with you! The food is not top notch, but it's good enough to keep you on your feet for the whole day. This place is also great for meeting other people from all over the world!

I recommend this refuge and the toubkal trip that they organize. The transport from Marrakesh was punctual and frinedly. The Guide was very kind and friendly. Food was delicious and fresh. Refuge's service was also very kind.

If it was a hotel I'd give it two stars but given that it's a refuge at 3200m and everything is brought in and out by mule it deserves five stars. I was ready for some cold temperatures but they keep things quite warm and my -9C sleeping bag was way overkill. They have two squat toilets, two western-style toilets and two showers, all of which were surprisingly clean given that it's shared between 80 people or so. There is hot water available in the showers but it seemed pretty random whether you got some or not. The food was quite good and plentiful and the staff was friendly.

Nothing to complain about.
Resting at 3200 meters, it is one of the only two lodgings available for those ascending the Toubkal and needing a rest.
No single, double, or triple room. It's shared dorms for all, but when out of season, you can get the whole room for yourself. The heat isolation is rather good and the beds are comfy, so don't worry about discomfort. Extra blankets can be provided.
The personnel is rather nice.
Food wise, while what is offered is rather basic, it hits the spot, and that's all that matters. It's not a hotel after all.
Drinks are expensive, but all things considered, it's easy to understand why.

Typical, international-style mountain refuge. Friendly staff. Tasty dinner and breakfast (optional). Best starting point for Toubkal climb. Bed in shared rooms is all you need after long trek day. Comfortable shared bathroom with hot water.

Fantastic place and Fantastic staff. Really helpful. The hygiene was very good for this attitude. The welcoming very warm. I ve spend some hour preparing for the early morning trekking, and I felt comfortable. The food quality and quantity is beyond what I ve ever imagined for a refuge in the mountains. Many Thanks to you

For a shelter at 3200 m asl in Morocco 🇲🇦- you can’t wish for more. Of course not the cleanest place and it’s not Michelin star kitchen but I suppose you know what to expect when you come to the mountains ⛰

Friendly stuff, you can get internet/gsm reception with Maroc Telecom SIM card in a room with a fireplace. Place is run by cute young boys. There is an electricity here, but it's one socket per 20-people-room. There is a shower with hot water. Lots of tourists here, the place is busy during dinner. Food is simple but plenty.

I have being in this place many time, I would like to say thank you guys for the very hard effort you re doing to bring up all what you need and try to keep my guests Happy, realy not easy to do what re doing. But thumps up. At 3200m and find hot watter, blancket, shower, equipements, that's not easy. Again ,wonderfull job. Good stuff and good owner.

In early 1994 hiked up to the Toubkal Refuge with a group of British Royal Marines (in uniform). The Marines had mules while stupid me carried all my gear on my back. Lagged behind a bit but Marines revived me a few times with tea and biscuits (top lads). Developed a splitting headache but rejected the idea of Mountain Sickness as I had been higher in the Himalayas the year before.
Refuge food was tasty and inexpensive. Up before the Marines next morning and wearing borrowed crampons and wielding Mohammed’s ice-axe I headed for the summit. Gradually I felt sicker and weaker so headed down before reaching the top. Picked up my gear and headed down to Imlil then Asni. This is how to deal with basic mountain sickness.
Strongly recommend this mountain hut and that is what it is! Right amount of comforts in the right place.
