Tresor d'Ali Baba

This is a really nice place to stop and really browse for a keepsake from the Ait Ben Haddou historical site. The owner keeps the shop which has been handed down to him from his father and he is not pushy or dishonest.

For the experience to shop and haggle a bit, this is the place! Allot of treasures, from some very nice vintage pieces to local Berber and Moroccan designs to some imported crafts and designs, for example from Mali.

It was a pleasure to find this place and spend some time exploring the items without pressure, as well as chatting with the kind owner about just life and the movies filmed at the site and family stories etc.

We lost our friend near the city. The shop owner Hasin took him in and gave him a way to conect us. We stayed many hours. Hasim is a tuarek from a desert triube. He has the most unique and autentic shop we found in marrokko. He has very old antique things. If he is telling you it is 130 years old you can trust him on this. He is giving fair prices so you dont need to bargin hard. Complety differtent to all the other shops who have all the same tourism stuff. Thank you very much.

We looked around, had a brilliant view from the terrace up top. We then sat with the shop owner for tea and some stories about travelling, Ben Haddou and filming that goes on around the village. Great service!

De winkel van Hasin is met recht de Grot van Ali Baba. Loop alle souvenir winkeltjes voorbij en ga hier naar binnen. Een schatkamer vol met grote en kleine “hebbedingen”. Daarnaast is Hasin erg aardig en een goede verteller. Een “must see” als je naar Ait Ben Haddou gaat!

Cette boutique porte très bien son nom tant elle est diversifiée, en particulier dans la culture Berbère. Le propriétaire est sympathique et très patient avec les visiteurs. Il prend le temps d'expliquer les choses et sait de quoi il parle (il part lui-même acheter ou troquer la marchandise qu'il vend). Je retiens l'avoir vexé au détour d'une négociation un peu trop ambitieuse, bien dommage. J'étais dans mon tord : l'objet en question (marque page Berbère), étant véritablement après recherches dans la tranche de prix annoncée.
Je tiens à réparer ma nonchalance occidentale du moment en laissant ici le meilleur des commentaires en faveur de ce commerçant et jeune homme qui tente de gagner son pain honnêtement à la sueur de son front. Belle leçon d'humilité à garder. Bien dommage que d'autres commerçants peu scrupuleux dans les alentours conditionnent le touristes à toujours négocier plus, nous passons à côté de belles choses quand elles se présentent...
Depuis le sommet Ait Ben Haddou, redescendre sur la gauche en suivant la direction "Gladiator". Sa boutique est en contrebas.

La tienda la atiende un chico super simpático y amable que te enseña todo y te explica muy bien, muy recomendable está parada y contemplar las maravillosas vistas desde ahí.

Verdaderamente una cueva de tesoros.
Tienen cosas muy especiales y el trato es increíble. Tienes que entrar, no te dejará indiferente.
