Restaurant zaytoune

We had the pleasure of eating here during our trip to Ait Benhaddou. The tour company dropped us at a nearby restaurant but we are so glad we read the reviews beforehand and ate here instead. We had the chicken tajine and meatballs tajine and they were both delicious. It's a very cosy place where we could eat our meal in peace. The owner was very nice as well. We would 100% come back another time.

Beautiful place, beautiful owners and a chicken Tajine that was the best I’ve found after being in Morocco for 2 months.
Would happily have paid double the price.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and lovely service!! It was a good idea to decide to eat here instead of the main restaurant on the street.

Most authentic Moroccan cuisine in the area, at half the price of most restaurants in the area. The host, Ali, was happy to serve us. For our two person meal and a large bottle of water we paid 150 dirhams, a little under £10. Absolutely worth it.

Amazing place, it is very well decorated and you feel very welcomed from the moment you step in the place. The staff members are super friendly, and always happy to share their knowledge and have a good chat after dinner.
The food was delicious, probably the best we had during our trip. We came back the following night even!
We had the salad, veggie soup, and beef tangine; I definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful little local gem with very friendly staff. I got the chicken tajine and it was still sizzling for a while. Highly recommend!

We got recommended this place by a local and we’re not disappointed, the food was authentic and delicious. Our server was very lovely and everything was very reasonably priced. They also had a cute neighbourhood cat which we fell in love with. 100/10 would recommend.

The boss and chef are super friendly. We feel very welcomed. Highly recommended to eat here instead of the beside “torturist restaurant”. The price is reasonable and the food is fresh as well as good tast. Tajine 60-70 .

We went to ait benhaddou and ourzazate one day trip from Marrakech and we had a lunch in this restaurant. We ate tajine kefta. The food and the service were awesome! I recommand it to everyone who visit ait benhaddou :)

This place has the best Tajine in all of Morocco. We were a large party during Ramadan and the lone waiter managed to accommodate us all and serve us efficiently. I highly recommend the Kefta Tajine

Great place next to the tourist traps from the tours. Glad we had read the reviews from this place prior to arrival. Very good food, reasonable prices (half the price the tourist options), and very friendly owner. Highly recommended!

We had vegetarian food which was excellent. The dip was so tasty and the dates in the Tajine was just amazingly tasty with spices. Highly recommend

Lovely local restaurant with delicious food and welcoming staff. Come here instead of dining at the nearby "tourist trap" restaurants if you have enough time, food may take a bit longer but price is by half and it was worth the wait!

Glad we looked at reviews when our driver brought us to the tourist trap across the street. This place had a friendly owner with delicious food and reasonable prices. Don’t fall into the tourist traps with 5 menu items across the street for double the price!

We went there in October after 8pm and it looked closed so we wanted to go to a different a place. All of the sudden someone opened the door from the restaurant and called us in. We did not want to bother anyone, especially because the place was already closed but the owner was so happy to see us and insisted to come inside that we could not refuse. It was completely worth it! Very nice harira soup with extra seasoning, tajine kefta with delicious meat and couscous with freshly made veggies and soft chicken + the owner was super nice! I can only recommend!

In very touristy town, this restaurant is hands down the most authentic, delicious and fair priced place to eat. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The owner insisted we have the chicken tagine and we were not disappointed. I would highly recommend this place as would the rest of the group I am travelling with.

One of the best Tajines I have had on my trip through Morocco. The guy running the place was also very kind and spoke French and English. I highly recommend eating here, if you are nearby.
