Cozy place where to have a good dinner. The seafood was excellent and the service incredible. 100% recommended!

Sam’s might be my favorite restaurant in the whole world. We ate there twice when visiting Essaouira and we had a fantastic experience both times. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was excellent. The prices are also very reasonable. I’d recommend to any seafood lover. We will definitely visit Morocco again, if only for Sam’s Restaurant.

My favorite restaurant in town. The service, atmosphere, and quality of food is outstanding. The fish has always been baked perfectly and the appetizers are delightful. They also have free WiFi, a bar and very clean bathrooms. I recommend the calamari tagine.

We just wanted to wait in the shade with some refreshments for our bus, so we asked the waiter about this and he was so kind to allow us to stay, even though we didn't order any food.

Definitely the best place in Essaouira. Fresh fish and great chef. Dorade, tajine de poulpes, salade maroccaine chaude and langouste are our favourite dishes. Good wines are also served. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Essaouira! The food is exquisite. The service is even better. I hope you are lucky enough to meet and be served by Akram! Order the Dorade. You will thank me!

Nice place outside Medina — very quiet.
Waiter very smiley and nice. I had the Sams salad that I highly recommend! A cold tasting of octopus, sardines, shrimps and some white fish with vegetables and a good pesto sauce.

Owned and run by locals, with fresh deliveries every day from the local fishermen.

Service is very good. Speedy, friendly, interested and helpful. The good was superb - my partner had a very diverse catch of the day, whilst I had a great vegetarian cuisine. The vegetarian options are good, and they made every effort to ensure that we had good options from the menu. Would recommend to anyone, and had a lovely time. Also, well located near the beach.

We visited the restaurant today and I just say the food was really wonderful. The fish was fresh and the staff was very friendly. Our server Mohammed was really kind and took his time explaining everything to us on the menu. He smiled constantly throughout our time there. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat local fish in a wonderful atmosphere. If you are lucky to get Mohammed as your waiter your experience will be much more appreciated.

Classic French seafood perfectly cooked. Can't say better than that.

Delicious 😋 and tasty food

We had two lovely evenings at Sam’s restaurant.
The food is great. Just starting with the lovely entrees or taking a selection of the tapas, you will be pleased. For the main courses ask Akram for advice. A super friendly waiter who makes you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. Sam’s fishes are fresh and nicely prepared. On our second night we took a paella. It had all the fish you could wish for, everything tasting lovely. For the white wine we can recommend Val D’Argan.

A really great find in Essaouira, especially if you’re into seafood

A really good meal here tonight, spoiled slightly by how quiet the restaurant was. I don’t understand why when the prices were reasonable (if higher than a typical couscous / tagine place) for really top quality seafood and fish that is very well prepared and cooked. My swordfish steak was the best I have ever had and Jane’s salt-crust baked sea bass was beautifully cooked, in a salt crust that was over 1cm thick.

Great food, but the prices are quite high compared to other tourist places...expected lower

Great dinner! Food was very fresh & tasty, waiters friendly and helpful despite a packed place, great menu (in French only, but the waiters can translate if needed). Didn’t need a reservation for a weekday evening 7pm table.
