La Coupole Essaouira Beach

During my 3-day stay in Essaouira I visited La Capole twice it was that good! The terrace is a beautiful spot to look out over the ocean and sip a cocktail and beautiful while watching the sunset. Food was great and while we were there to watch the sunset they had a wonderful band playing amazing music. The place is beautifully decorated giving you a stunning tropical feel and great atmosphere. A must visit if you go to Essaouira!

The perfect place to enjoy lunch with a view of the beach. We ordered two mojitos, gourmet burger, risotto, octopus, and the avocado crab salad. My favorites were the octopus and risotto - order them. Prices were reasonable and the service was excellent ! Will be back here on my next Essaouira visit.

Perfect place for a nice lunch. The steak was super for Morocco. Very well prepared. Its a nice spot to sit, drink something. Can for sure recommend it

Genuinely one of the most wonderful places I’ve been in a long time. The food and drinks were incredible, but the service was above and beyond. all of the staff were kind, thoughtful, and so attentive. They had fantastic recommendations, and make the evening fantastic. Ali in particular was spectacular, but the entire team were so attentive!

This is a legendary spot and definitely a highlight of my Essaouira experience! The La Couple Signature Drink (picture 1) is really good. Really glad that I ordered the Poulpe Rôti roasted octopus dish (Picture 2) that was so incredible. Besides, the vibes here are excellent. Ideally you’d want to sit on the deck upstairs but there are options indoors and outdoors downstairs (if you walk in like I did; Picture 3). By far, here offers the best, friendliest service among restaurants & bars by La Plage. I’ll definitely come back again for my next visit to Morocco.

All the food was delicious, we ate here all the nights we stayed in Essaouira. The grilled octopus is one of the best I have had, 100% recommended.

Top quality food and great service. Mustafa was the perfect waiter, polite, pleasant, and helpful. We had the fillet steak & chicken steak, followed by crime brûlée- all delicious. Lovely views over the beach.

It's a wonderful place. It's great to watch the sunset from the terrace.

If you really want to see the sunset, make your reservation in advance. In the evenings they can be very busy.

Prices are a little higher than the average in Essaouira, but for the sake of their burnt avocado and crab, I'm willing to put up with it.

The service is quick. The waiters speak English. There is alcohol on the menu. And it's quite decent.

Easily the best restaurant I ate in while in Essaouira. The ambiance of this was incredible. It’s located right on the beach which gives you fantastic views of the sunset while looking outwards to the beach.

Ordered the burnt avocado stuffed with crab. This was the only disappointing plate. I gave it a 1.2/5. The burntness had a strange taste and the crab was too fishy tasting.

The risotto made up for the avocado. Perfectly creamy and the seafood didn’t taste like it was straight from the sea.

The beef filet taste very beefy but the mashed potatoes and croquettes paired very well.

Our service was the best, I wish I got the servers name. He was smiling the entire time and made the experience very welcoming

Excellent food in a beautifully curated space. The dinner was delicious and presentation was spot on. The starters were so good; the truffle cheese blintzes were incredible. The grilled vegetables were perfectly cooked and the arugula was spicy and crispy.

The chef came and met us personally and asked how everything was after we ate. The manager was present and attentive and the staff was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this restaurant! We also liked the rooftop terrace with an nice ocean view and the plants in the space made it feel cool and comfortable. Make sure to get a dessert!wow!! Thank you!

My family and I arrived in time for the gorgeous sunset, and then tested the entire menu from Chef Yassine. We were thrilled with every sip and every bite!! Mustafa (our main waiter, new to the job he said) was assisted by an equally capable and friendly coworker whose name we did not catch, gave us the relaxed attention we needed as we enjoyed our way through appetizers, main dishes, and even dessert. We nearly had to stay the night after having stuffed ourselves with such delicious and beautifully presented food and drinks!

Good vibes and high quality food!

We loved La Coupole so much we dined here 4 times in 2 weeks. The food was as great as the first time, we even ordered the same dishes on most of our visits.

We stumbled across this beautiful spot whilst strolling along the beach, and decided to stop in for lunch. We were welcomed by the lovely staff and were able to take the front window table, with a view of the gorgeous ocean just for the 2 of us.

We thoroughly enjoyed their wine collection (yes we are Aussies!) and then ordered the most delicious ravioli followed by the perfect tomahawk steak to share!! We were not disappointed. We even had a visit from Yassine the chef, who we couldn't praise enough for cooking our meat perfectly.

The day was so beautiful we moved to the terrasse to enjoy a few Negronis, best sunset view and enjoyed the company of the locals who clearly loved La Coupole as much as we did, we met them on each and every visit. We even felt like a local. We even got to know Ilias and the lovely staff and very thankful for the warm welcome.

You don't be disappointed in visiting La Coupole, from the great wine, warm service, good vibes, locals and delicious food, along with one of the best views in Essaouira. Thank you for having us and for making our Christmas Day in Morocco one to remember.

Really good restaurant, quite affordable, we took a beef rib (900gr) for 24 euros and the vegetarian plate for 9 euros.

The desserts were really good.

The staff was attentive and nice, you can order wine starting at 17euros.

Overall a really positive experience.

Convenient location, nice interior. All dishes were amazing. We ordered salads, salmon with pasta, beef - everything looked and tasted amazing. Service was also perfect. Recommend this place.

Food was fantastic. Went there to eat and enjoy the sunset.

My husband and I had such a wonderful dinner here. This was our first time coming to this restaurant based on the recommendation of our guide. We sat upstairs and timing could not have been better because the band that played that night was fantastic! I wish Google would let me upload the video (I think the file is too big) bc their sound created the perfect vibe. Our seafood was so fresh (grill octopus) and made to perfection. The atmosphere had such a laid back vibe and enjoyable view with the ocean not far away. Great food, fun music, and I had a homemade non alcoholic drink that was so refreshing. What more can you ask for on a vacay?

the service is exceptionally slow but the food was very good

Staff was friendly and the food was awesome! The place is very cosy. I had the shrimp soup and a chocolate fondue, both were delicious.

I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Nice music and clean bathrooms! :-)
