I have done many cooking workshops in my life and this was definitely one of the best!! Loved every minute of it. Very well explained in French and English. The two girls were very friendly and helpful

Cooking workshop was amazing, made vegetable briouates and a vegetable tagine (recipe adapted/accompdated for me and my wife because we’re veggie). Medina spice tour was interesting as well. Highly recommended.

Cooking workshop was excellent. Maryam explains everything effortlessly and multilingually. It’s a nice space and very professional. There were several teenagers in our group who all enjoyed it.

We had an amazing experience doing a cooking class here with Maryam! The class was organized, professional but intimate, and highly informative. The cafe and store are absolutely beautiful too. It is definitely worth a stop in Essaouira.

I just had a lovely experience at the cooking class here with Maryam. The class was very fun and Maryam taught us a lot about Moroccan culture as well as cooking tips. The website also has all the recipes so I can remember it all when I get home. We learnt to make Harissa soup and lamb tagine which was very tasty 😋. We also went the local market and Maryam helped us negotiate a good price for some herbs and spices. Thanks again 👍. I'd recommend this for anyone interested in learning more about Moroccan cooking and culture

We went for the cooking workshop and it was amazing! Good and fresh food. Also the staff was really lovely and even showed us the spices at the market. We liked it a lot!

We would thoroughly recommend this cooking experience. 220 MAD to do the 15:30-17:00 Pastry Workshop. Our hostess explained everything beautifully to our mixed group of 6 in both French and English. Chef was very skilful and came round to help us after demonstrating the technique. Afterwards the group sat and chatted over mint tea, enjoying the fruits of our labours!

Excellent and affordable lunch choices. The place has a cooking school and also a small café. I had a goat cheese and walnut salad which was really good.
A few minutes away from the heart of the Médina and the beach.

I have just finished the pastry cooking class. It was amazing. The 2 chefs explained perfectly how to make the 2 different pastries. They are very helpful and smile whilst talking to you and are passionate about sharing their Moroccan cuisine. Highly worth booking a lesson.

This cooking class exceeded all our expectations and more. The environment is very nice decorated, really spacious and well looked after. With the view into the attached restaurant you get just an amazing sense of space, which took us already in a very nice mood.
We have been to some other cooking classes before which where nice, but we never had such a great open cooking space.

With good space for around 8 people plus the chef and your teacher we got ready to prepare our zaalouk & a chicken tajine with preserved lemon and olives.

The chef showed all the steps to prepare our delicious lunch very well and even the explanation was in french it was easy to follow her. And anyway we got the english translation enriched with interesting informations about Essaouira anyway from our teacher ( I am sorry but we forgot your name) . Even we might not been perfect with our food cutting technique, with a little help from la chef we managed nonetheless to prepare our tasty dish.

The time the tajine needed to get ready we used to a walk to the spice market where we got a good introduction of different spices and herbs, which really smelled impressive and nicer than some other we got offered before.

Back at the cooking class our food was ready to eat and we where able to enjoy it in the attached restaurant.

Even it was with 500 dirham per person a bit pricey we absolutely loved it and we can highly recommend it.

Thank you

L'atelier is my favorite workplace in Essaouira. Really great vibe, good taste in music, and a very clean and beautiful environment. Whatever work you have to do on a laptop, either reasoning-oriented or artistic-oriented work, the vibe of l'atelier will help significantly.

This is one of the best cooking classes we have ever enjoyed (which we have been in classes in Italy, New York, Thailand, etc.). Highly recommend for their detailed & patient instruction, delicious recipes, very clean & beautiful cooking space, and incredible staff.

Fantastic cooking class - one of the best I have done! Detailed instructions as well as lots of cultural information about the food and a knowledable guide to the spice market. Very organised and well worth it!

I fell in love with Essaouira and this cookery course was the highlight. After the madness and impersonality of Marrakech the warmth and generosity of the staff here made my holiday. We cooked delicious Zaalouk and beef tagine. The trip to Mohammed in the spice market was a real treat and I can't wait to return to this town.

We did a half day cookery course and it was great fun and totally delicious. Well worth the money as we make a lot of tagines now at home. It you have time don't miss this.
