A well of calm and art in the bustle of Essaouira.
There are a number of gallery spaces and different artists occupying them. The curator is knowledge and happy to share his knowledge of the artists and their techniques. He has also made the gallery (also his home) into a work of art in its own right.
There is a nominal charge for photography (paid) though entry is free.

A unique art gallery that was transformed from a riad of an Italian consulate. Currently exhibiting 4 artists: Baki, El Hadar, Maoul and Said Ouarzaz. The building itself is a piece of art by the owner, Francois. He is keen on introducing all the artists and the history of the building.
Probably one of the best experience I had in Essaouira!

Beautiful Riad style building with a tasteful collection of paintings, sculptures and other art objects. If you appreciate modern art and would like to discover upcoming Moroccan artists this is the place to visit. Most paintings are for sale.

François was very welcoming, the art selection very impressive and also the Riad itself is worth visiting. A real treat!

Beautiful gallery and gorgeous riad. The owner was very welcoming and gave us a tour of the gallery (only by appointment). Definitely worth visiting and discovering the work of Said Warzaz and Britta Reinhardt.

Lovely little gallery and beautiful restored Riad. We wondered in by chance whilst walking through Essouaria, three different local artists exhibited, and a welcoming introduction on our arrival.

An amazing find as we wandered the back streets of Essaouira. Beautifully restored Riad, filled with exhibitions from French, German and a Moroccan artist. Well worth a visit!

Un endroit exceptionnel, à visiter absolument pour les amateurs d’art!
La propriétaire nous a ouvert les portes pour une visite de ce Riad rénové et décoré avec goût, où vous pourrez découvrir les œuvres de trois artistes aux origines ou influences locales. Ces dernières se marient à merveille avec le lieu dont l’architecture traditionnelle est rehaussée par de belles couleurs. Un très beau moment!

Qu'il est bon d'entrer dans un lieu comme celui ci. Noblesse du lieu, plaisir des yeux en découvrant les différents artistes exposés. Le tout se marie à merveille. N'hésitez pas à y flâner et qui sait, peut être, avoir un coup de cœur. François, le propriétaire est généreux de son art et sa passion. Poussez la porte, le moment en vaut la peine.

Bellissimo palazzo perfettamente restaurato e valorizzato che ospita una collezione interessantissima di arte contemporanea marocchina. Aperto il pomeriggio dalle 15.

C'est dans l'ancien consulat d'Italie, cadre exceptionnel, riad typique de la belle ville d'Essaouira que des œuvres vous sont proposées. Cette exposition est commentée par le maître des lieux. Visite incontournable

Une découverte qui expanse le coeur. La beauté du lieu et des créations est une parenthèse enchantée. Allez-y absolument!

Bellissimo spazio dedicato all’arte e all’accoglienza

Obwohl wir Essaouira schon viele Jahre besuchen haben wir diesen traumhaften Ort erst gestern zufällig bei einem Spaziergang entdeckt.
Der Besitzer hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns die Kunstausstellung und den eindrucksvollen Riad gezeigt.
Wenn wir im Herbst wieder in Essaouira sind werden wir gerne nochmals einen Blick in dieses Kleinod werfen.
Ich kann jedem Essaouira Besucher nur empfehlen diesen Ort aufzusuchen.

Très belle découverte inattendue lors de notre pérégrination dans la médina. Très beau Riad très bien restauré et découverte d’artistes … coup de cœur pour l’artiste plasticien Maoual. Merci pour l’accueil et les explications, vous n’étiez plus là quand nous avons quitté les lieux. Pour les amateurs d’art et d’architecture, lieu incontournable.

Quelle belle surprise de découvrir ce Riad transformé en galerie d’art ! Les oeuvres des artistes sont savamment exposées et mises en valeur dans cet espace de rêve entièrement rénové avec soin par le propriétaire galeriste François. Une bulle de beauté, de design ( tuiles au sol) et d’architecture pour les amoureux d’arts visuels pas pressés.
