Clean rooms, tasty food, kindness and the incredible architecture of this Kasbah (palace) made one of the best experiences of our trip in Marocco.
We did also an guided tour through the Ksar (fortified village), the guide was really well prepered, explaining us history and urban structure of this place. Really recommend for a relaxing time outside the main touristic spots.

A magic place - both a musuem as well as a hotel - run by extremely friendly and welcoming people. A unique experience in Morocco and a must in case you are in the area: highly recommended. Moreover, the food is amazing too! Thank you - choukran

P.S.: I almost forgot to mention: the Kasbah offers the best view in the area

Truly beautiful, welcoming, friendly, unique, a fabulous must do Moroccan experience. So much history. Hassan and all the staff are really helpful and informative. Highly recommend the tagine cooking class and you must join in the evenings drumming. So much fun. A highlight of our trip

A fascinating place to wander around, better with a guide who will show you the inside and introduce you to the men constantly renovating this amazing structure. They receive no grant (unlike Ait Ben Haddou) so depend on tourism to help them continue the renovations. Highly recommended.

The Kasbah on the top of the hill is another one than the one described in the reviews. The one on top of the hill has a nice exterior, but is a site in decay. The Kasbah of Tamnougalt is more interesting to see. This one has some old elements and has been partially restored. We had the pleasure to have a small tour among the different parts of it (Islamic and Jewish) with the possibility of going on the roof. Nice experience.

Incredible experience. If you want to stay in a very unique place, this is the one to go.
Genuine kasbah and berber hosts, service is a 10. Breakfast was lovely and dinners were absolutely delicious. We stayed here 2 nights.
Staff super friendly and the whole place is unique. Memorable experience

Arrived at night not having any expectations. In the morning on the terrace we were greeted by mountains all around, an oasis of palm trees, the length of the Kasbah, and the sunrise.

Visiting Hassan's 15th century Kasbah Des Caids home was straight out of a dream. For the past 8 years he has lovingly restored his 7th generation family home. I felt so close to the earth and welcomed into this magical place. I didn't want to leave. What a dreamy oasis in the valley of the beautiful mountains, earth and sky. Thank you Hassan.

Nice Kasbah - we had a lovely tour. It can be hard to find because it is hidden behind some walls and a narrow archway. But you can leave your car in front of the archway and walk the rest (2 minutes)

The tour lasts up to 60 minutes and you can see the kasbah, the garden and the old souk. The entrance fee is 20 DH per person and a tip for the guide.

The tour is interesting and our guide knows a lot about the history of this kasbah (see pictures)

If you are nearby it is worth a visit. It isn't that crowed like the kasbahs in ouarzazate.

Kashbah well preserved, old meeting point of berebers, arabs, jews and mauritans. This visit is a MUST

Amazing place to stay and enjoy the views, the gardens, the traditional rooms and the berber culture and hospitality. I stayed for 2 nights with my friends and Hasan was an amazing host. I want to come back one day because I will surely miss their wonderful food, dancing, singing and good mood.

Beautifully restored kasbah, well explained by a local guide. Entrance fee 20 dh, well deserved and needed for the ongoing restoration efforts.

One of the most amazing places I've stayed in my travels! To stay in a palace all to ourselves for that price was so special. It was beautiful, historical, and the people were so friendly. I can't recommend this more highly! Absolutely get out of the big cities and explore this gem.

This is a hotel/restaurant/museum that is owned and run by Hassan. It is found in the Kasbah (mud castle) that was previously owned by the towns ruler. Hassan's a wonderful host and really committed to preserving and rebuilding the charm of the old village. Highly recommended! Food is prepared by the family, and consistently excellent during our four night stay.

The best place in all of Morocco. The staff is always willing to help in any way, and the owner is a great guy! I absolutely suggest making the trip to spend the evening in the great historical Kasbah.

Fascinating place, comfortable rooms in a preserved ancient building, with good food and live music. History of the Ksar, local culture and traditions explained beautifully by the generous host, Hassan Ait ElCaid. Thanks Hassan, hopefully we'll come back!

An amazing place to discover and to experience life in the 16th century in the Moroccan desert, because you can visit the museum but also you can stay in one of their rooms.
