Kasbah Timidarte

Such a beautiful place to visit. As the other reviews have said, this is and old Casbah traditionally renovated and comes with all the quirks.

I’ve had the best nights sleep here in a long time, it was peaceful and quiet. We’re staying two nights and I’m already looking forward to tonight’s sleep.

The streets are also quiet with the odd donkey passing by. I haven’t seen a car all day. The people are lovely and welcoming and it’s wonderful to walk around the Palm gardens / Oasis where everyone had a plot of land to grow what they would like.

Fantastic views from the rooftop. Food is delicious. It’s a photographers dream, tonnes of birds around and it’s very relaxing.

If you can spare the time to stay two nights, you 100% should.

If you want to step 200 years back in time and imagine what it'd be like travelling along the old caravan road and staying in Kasbahs along the way, this is the place for you. It's a renovation of an old Kazbah, built in the traditional way.

The rooms have basic amenities - lighting, a power socket, etc, but a luxury stay isn't the point of this place. The experience is authentic, the views are amazing, the people are friendly and welcoming, and it's just very beautiful.

Furthermore, the revenues are used to support the local community, and to renovate the fortified village attached to the Kasbah, which you can also tour around and see how people lived. So staying here helps preserve the history of the area.

Very nice experience at the Kasbah Timidarte. We only stayed for one night but we wished to have stayed longer. The hosts were very nice and welcoming explaining us about the traditions and customs of the local population. The kasbah is very pleasant and peaceful, probably one of our best accomodations in Morocco in our 15 day trip ! The food is also authentic and tasteful with local fresh products. The breakfast in the garden is also a nice souvenir...We strongly recommend this place ! Possibility of various activities organized by the association which benefits to the population of the village.

What a dream place! The room at the front was warm, despite that fact that it's mid-winter. The roof terrace is amazing, you look out over the Kasbah and the palmerie. They can show you how to make tagine. Staff were lovely. Highly recommended - worth the trip. I think two nights would be lovely but we only had one.

One of the best places in Morocco. The village has amazing dates, an amazing old kasbah, but most importantly, some of the most friendly residents I have ever met.

Eine unserer besten Unterkünfte während unserer Zeit in Marokko. Man kann im Kasbah Timidarte schön, authentisch und ruhig wohnen und das Essen morgens und abends ist fantastisch. Abdoul ist wahnsinnig nett und gibt sich viel Mühe. Wir hatten eine tolle Tour durch das alte teilweise sanierte Ksar. Fantastisch! Durch die Oase spazieren ist traumhaft und die Menschen sind alle wahnsinnig herzlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Abbiamo fatto tappa in questa struttura durante in nostro tour in MTB in Marocco. Un posto incantato sembra il tempo si sia fermato qua. Siamo stati accolti con tanta cortesia e disponibilità, abbiamo mangiato molto bene considerata la cucina di questi luoghi. Le stanze e i servizi sono adeguate al contesto e non manca nulla. Ci hanno pure lavato i vestiti da bici cosa che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo. Bravi bravi e grazie

Magnifique endroit chargé d'histoire et de traditions. Accueil chaleureux d'Abdou qui nous a fait visiter la kasbah, la mosquée et la palmeraie. Nous avons apprécié d'entendre toutes ses connaissances quand à la richesse du lieu et à la démarche de sauvegarde du site. Un endroit authentique avec l'accueil très sympathique d'Abdou. Visite de la palmeraie et de la kasbah en renovation intéressante.
Nous avons très bien dîné et les beignets du petit déjeuner sont excellents .

Magnifique découverte pour passer la nuit: la Kasbah du village à été restaurée avec soin, conservant son authenticité avec des touches de modernité (salle de bain...). Les hôtes sont très accueillants et disponibles, nous avons pu visiter grâce à eux l'ancien Ksar (en cours de rénovation) et la palmeraie attenante.
Enfin les repas sont excellents avec des ingrédients cultivés sur place !
Ne passez pas à côté de ce lieu.

Une pause agréable dans cette kasbah restaurée avec soin. La visite commentée de.l'ancien village est intéressante pour comprendre l'immensité du travail accompli dans la restauration du village et de l'ancienne mosquée.
