Ouirgane Ecolodge

Excellent service, very friendly staff. Delicious food. We spent 4 days relaxing, exploring the area and walking with a guide. I would highly recommend this eco lodge.

The room was beautiful, the surroundings were absolutely stunning and the staff were very friendly :)

We really loved our stay here and were made to feel very welcome. The location is fantastic and our jardin room was spacious and comfortable. There's a whole menagerie of animals from peacocks to tortoise and Luna the lovely goat. Be aware they don't serve alcohol which we found to our cost having to go and stock up at the nearby hotel and you also need to inform them in advance if you want lunch or dinner which we didn't think was clearly explained.

Perfect destination to escape the city with discreet and friendly, smiling service and good included breakfast. Close by there are berber villages to hike around and a dam (barrage) to walk by. The gardens, lawns, terraces and other suntraps are a godsend in Winter if you've travelled from northern climes. In January the nights are cold, and we noticed up here in the foothills of the Atlas a little frost on a January morning, but by the time you are up for a big, filling breakfast, the sun swamps the sheltered spaces here and it's t shirt weather again. Our room was spacious with a little balcony, a good warm shower and a peaceful night's sleep. Brilliant.

Amazing stay. So peaceful. Staff are so helpful, meals are delicious and all great value. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay on the doorstep to explore the mountains.

Would highly recommend as a base for walks around the area or just for a couple of relaxing days. We were made to feel extremely welcome and all the staff, especially Mohamed, went out of there way to help with anything we needed. We had a room with a balcony which was lovely to sit on to watch the sunset over the hills in the evening.

Beautiful, soothing, and therapeutic place. The sound of nature is all around you (the decoration of the lodge, the domestic animals, the delicious food they serve, surroundings). The name Ecolodge can tell you of what you'll find in that place.

Such an oasis of calm, peace and tranquillity after the busyness of Marrakech and Essaouira. The place itself is really nicely thought out. Lovely garden with trees and shade, inviting swimming pool, a variety of aromatic shrubs and flowers.
The staff are one of the highlights, especially Mohamed - who has a great sense of humour! Nothing was too much trouble. I felt very well looked after.
The food was tasty and fresh (loved the salads) and loved that the bread was baked fresh on the premises every day. I had all my meals here (I'm vegetarian) and was well catered for.
The rooms are nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable (all the beds in all the places I stayed in Morocco are hard by UK standards but I'm OK with that), the shower powerful and the water hot. I would highly recommend a stay here!

The service of this lodge was outstanding. From the first question I had until well after my departure from the lodge. Mohamed was very friendly, welcoming and made sure that my stay at the lodge was the most comfortable. The room was great for a nights stay. The lodge itself was a nice relief from bustling Medina life in Marrakech where I was able to lounge around in the sun by the pool and read a book and go for picturesque walks around the lodge. Perfect. Thanks Mohamed for organising so much for my stay and then helping me with transfers even after my stay with you! I highly recommend staying here.

Such a great oasis of calm.
Comfortable beds, lovely grounds, refreshing swimming pool, plenty of lounge areas and only nine rooms so it never feels crowded.
Authentic food too 👍
And all this at such a reasonable price.

We stayed here as a family. It was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Food was delicious (the cakes with coffee were yummie😋) and fresh. They have very friendly and helpfull staf like Abdennasr and Zakaria. They are always around if you want something or have any questions. Thank you for everything!

The lodge has plenty of different lounge areas to relax, both indoors and outdoors, the rooms have everything you need and are well maintained, and above all, the staff is incredibly helpful and caring. They provided us with information on the surrounding area, fired up the hammam for us, prepared tea whenever we asked, and so on. I definitely recommend this place.

Ecolodge Ouirgane is a beautiful auberge with an enchanting garden and excellent cuisine that is authentic to the Moroccan experience. We spent a week there enjoying the scenery, reading in the garden, and hiking in the surrounding areas. Mohammed and the team were incredibly friendly and accommodating and anticipated our every need. Fantastic experience and great value for money.

Very well located ecolodge in the village of Maghira only a few kilometers away from Ouirgane. Accommodating rooms, great food& service. A green space for anyone wanting to retreat from city noises. They also offer multiple routes for guided hikes heading towards the Ouirgane Lake, a must see for anyone visiting the area. Bonus point: Moroccan leather slippers for all guests to use whilst staying there AND rabbits, ducks and peacocks in the animal quarters. Make sure to bring warm clothes during the winter season.

Wonderful, peaceful, quiet, delicious food. And Hassan and Mohamed making you want to stay there for way longer than planned. Great stay, can't wait to go back (insha'Allah!)

Beautiful, peaceful place with a refreshing pool in the atlas mountains. A great location to relax from busy Marrakesh. There was a lot of green vegetation when we were there

We had a very nice stay in the Ouirgane Eco lodge. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we were preparing our ascent of the Toubkal the next day. They offered earlier breakfast and a filling dinner before we would leave. The lodge is hidden and isolated which felt great to spend a quiet night. Also the food was very tasty and homemade.

It was our wedding anniversary and this was the right spot to spend our time alone together. I love the way they welcome us and it was unexpected. Food, rooms and especially Aicha the lady you want to meet who will provide you the best customer service ever. Awesome will see you soon.
