The food was so good that we went back a second time. You are in for a treat if you come on a Friday and get couscous! But no matter what day of the week, this restaurant is worth a stop.

Women-owned business with delicious home-cooked food that is a must-have when in Chefchaouen.

We didn't have the harira soup since there was a shortage, but their tajin was delicious. They have some specialty house rolls and mint lemonade, which were delicious, especially the chicken house rolls.

Note that service might take a little long since it's a small kitchen. We waited for 45 minutes but the food was nonetheless delicious.

They have menus in English, Spanish, and French and they speak all 3.

A good restaurant to try Moroccan food, and one of the best Kefta tajine that we have tried.

The overall experience was excellent! 8 of us got a table just before it got busy. We got variety of dishes and all of them were delicious.

The service was great. There was a slight wait for the food but once it started coming out, it kept coming one after another. We asked for extra breads and harissa which was delivered to the table quickly.

Highly recommend this place, great food and service!

Very good place, some dishes are gluten free: chicken tajín, vegetable tajín, salads...
The staff is friendly and they speak Spanish.
The price is very good.

Fantastic place for lunch with very friendly staff.
Our food was great and the prices much lower than expected. Portion sizes were generous.
I really enjoyed the lemonade with peppermint.

I would definitely recommend stopping by here for a quick lunch if taking a day trip to the area. They open right at 1300 and became quite busy after we arrived.

We had such a difficult time finding this special cafe, but once we did, we were so happy to have come here. The other reviews are accurate - the women cooking are superb and care about their craft. The veal and dates dish was superb. The soup and bread for 20dht could be an entire meal! Ample seating, compared to other places. Photos as of April 2018.

Best best best food in Chefchaouen and definitely one if the bestest we had in Morocco. The Couscous grain was flavourful as was everything else. Just absolutely delicious, really. A massive portion of vegetarian couscous was around 45dh, the chicken pastilla rolls 80dh and the Zaa’louk was out of this world. We also tried the caramelised pumpkin from a fellow traveler and it was delicious. All in all, just order with your eyes closed and you will still hit the nail the head.

It’s behind all the touristic spots and definitely a hidden gem for more local and authentic, not overhyped eating. I had lunch and dinner there and I would have absolutely have had breakfast if they opened earlier.

Wonderful place. The rif sandwich is recommended as well as the Zaaluk and the salad. Have been here maybe 5 times now, the staff are very friendly and helpful. 10/10

It's the best place to eat in Chefchaouen 😍 I have been twice to this café because the food is so good and the staff is really friendly and nice :) I love it! My friend is vegan and the vegetable soup for example is awesome. We also met the little girl this place is named after :)

Easily the best Moroccan dining experience I’ve had on my trip throughout the country. After feeling underwhelmed by the majority of food I’d experienced thus far I was recommended to Sofias by a local. Arriving at the establishment just after 8pm we were greeted by a full dining area but waited happily for 10 minutes before being seated. 20 minutes after ordering our food arrived, the aubergine was balanced well and tasty, full of Moroccan spices. Unlike other couscous I’ve had in Morocco, the vegetable couscous was light, fluffy and brought alive by the sultana & onion reduction on top….. deeeelicious. The veal & prune tagine was the best I’ve eaten and its rich sauce deserved to be a dish of its own.

If youre looking for delicious authentic Moroccan made by a local cook and you aren’t deterred by a few friendly cats and plastic chairs then this is your place!

No bells and whistles here but by far some of the best food we have had in our 2 weeks in Morocco. Vegetable couscous was SO flavourful and the kefta tagine was amazing as well!! Definitely a must visit in Chefchaouen. Prices were great, we had 3 plates plus bottles water for 170 dirhams.

The best meal I’ve had in Morocco so far. Everything was perfect. The food was hot, so tasty, and much better than the quality than the other restaurants I tried in Chefchaouen. The service was great and they have tables outside in a bit quieter location than the main square.

What they lack in ambience they more than make up for with their exceptional home-cooking. Easily one of the best hariras we’ve had to date and especially during Ramadan. It was wholesome and rich with tomatoes, lentils, and a melange of aromatics, carrying a wonderful consistency that wasn’t overly creamy or starchy. Enjoyed an excellent couscous as well that was light, properly fluffy and flavourful with tender vegetables and chicken. Very reasonably priced.

One of my favorite places in my visit to Morocco. The people were friendly and the food was very good. Everything we had was delicious. And I still want to come back to try their stuffed zucchini and their cooking classes. That would be awesome!
