I had an incredible experience learning to surf with Mounir in Taghazout, Morocco. He is not just a professional instructor, but also an incredibly friendly and encouraging person. He strikes the perfect balance between providing guidance and allowing you the time to find your own rhythm. I like how Mounir plans the lessons, making me better at surfing bit by bit. His help really improved my surfing. I can't wait to return for more lessons with Mounir, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing surf instructor in Taghazout.

We had an awesome couple of days with Mounir. He went above and beyond to give us the best Moroccan experience. He taught us the basics on how to surf, helping us practice and perfect our technique on each and every wave. We were taken to the best surf spots, and we eat at Mounir’s favourite tagine restaurant in Tamraght. He was great company and our trip to Taghazout was made special by our couple of days learning to surf.

I have tried several surf coaches in different countries and by far Mounir has been the best. In only 3 days he made me feel more confident and helped me to overcome my fear to paddel out to the outside. He goes inside the water with you and makes you feel safe all the time, and also he has a great sense of humor, which is also important to make you feel more relaxed. If you are in Taghazout and you want to learn or improve your surfing skills, Mounir is your guy.

Mounir was recommended to us by our AirBnB host. After a half day Session we spent another day with mounir. The the lessons and the communication were really helpful and easy going. We can only recommend Mounir's SurfSchool and say Thank you!

We had only surfed a few times a while back, but with Mounir's patience and detailed explanation, we were quick to catch many waves and improve our technique. He accompanied us closely to learn new skills while also encouraging us to fearlessly try them out on the waves. Mounir took us to different spots every day based on conditions, and we felt safe at all times.

Mounir always got out of his way to accommodate us, get us a tasty lunch or share advice, always with a big smile and positive attitude.

I took 3 surf classes with Mounir, and would definitely have booked more with him in case I would have stayed longer. He gave very concrete advise, and I caught a lot of waves and made a lot of progress because of this. It was refreshing, after having spent a lot of time in bigger group classes where I felt like I was stagnating in my learning. So I would for sure recommend his surf school!

Really recommend! Liked how there the class only had 4 of us and we were picked up (and dropped off). It was nice to be taken to a different beach to surf based on the conditions which I had not seen yet! Got a good lesson in with a focus on standing up properly and whilst in the sea I was given key advice to work on after each wave.

Great teacher, sound guy and you get a long time in the water. Well worth it if your a beginner or have surfed a tiny bit before like myself.

Mounir was our (2 beginners) private trainer for a day to have a little taste for surfing. He started with a big smile and the day was lovely, but not easy from this moment. After a professional warmup we had to practice first on the beach after in the water. He selected very carefully that part where the waves were perfect for our level and there were not many other people. It felt very short time and already the day was over. He was during the whole time very helpful and professional. There was only a pause where we got extremely delicious and even fresh warm food and best quality fruits and different juices.
The next day very good photos of our surfing steps arrived to my account, they were fun to see our best falls.

Fantastic and most memorable. As a surf instructor, Mounir was very patient and help. I was nervous beforehand, but he made me felt very safe. I didn't managed to pop up, partly due to an injury, but I loved every minute of it! I can't recommend him and his organization any higher.

Amazing afternoon surfing, we first got picked up at our villa, we checked with our coach the best place to surf, then had all very clear instructions and had 1.30h full into the water. Our coach was there ALL THE TIME in the water to help us stand on the board, correcting us and making us progress very fast. The most worth surf coach session we ever had !! After the session we even had a coffee in town, shared a really nice moment, great talk, and finally got brought back to our villa. If we would stay a bit longer, we would definitely book a second afternoon ! If you’re searching for the best surf coach in town, then do not search further, here he is !! :-) thank you again !!

La Cabane should be the only surf school to consider if you want to have the best time and learn / improve your surfing in Morroco.

I have never surfed before but after just few surfing lessons with Mounir I was able to confidently paddle and catch some waves.

Mounir strikes the perfect balance of giving you support and confidence when you need it but also pushing you just enough so you continue to improve and progress. Most importantly me and my partner have always felt safe in the water during our lessons.

We always had a great time when we were with Mounir, he is a big part why we really enjoyed our time in Morroco. Not only do we consider Mounir as a top surf instructor but also a good friend.

I had the pleassure to take two lessons with Mounir. From the very first moment he made me feel extremly comfortable and safe. He showed his profesionality from organizing the group to selecting the right spot with the optimal conditions. He's all the time with you in the water, really oriented into details and technique, observing all the time each student to suggest corrections. I could really see an exponential improvement just in two lessons. Totally worth it and highly recommendable. Looking foward to came back 😀
