Partially restored Kasbah. Interesting to see the construction techniques using rammed earth and poplar beams - they were much more concerned about termites eating the wood joists than erosion from rain. The Kasbah is in three sections - two are restored and owned by two brothers who are fighting about money, so entry covers one half but not the other - and an unrestored section.

Pro tip: while you are here spend an hour walking through the gardens and neighborhoods surrounding the Kasbah. The residents are friendly and it is very peaceful.

Not too long, not too expensive and very informative!!! Very well preserved Kasbah!! Well worth getting off the main road or if you stay in the area like we did allocating couple of hours to visit it!
Even my 9year old daughter that gets bored after 2min of listening to someone liked it and enjoyed listening to a stories of our tour guide!!

Beautiful well preserved kasbah, worth to visit when you are in Skoura. It also has a collection of equipments and tools that had been used by people living there at that period such as bowls, wooden presser to extract olive oil etc. Try to catch sunset from roof top it is amazing view.

The Kasbah of Amridil is one of Morocco’s well maintained Kasbah thanks to the perseverance of the owning family. They are still taking good care of this Amazigh architectural treasure. It dates back to the 17th century. To visit this amazing architectural site entrance fee is 40 MAD ( around 4 €) and I highly recommend hiring a guide from the Kasbah to give you more insight about it from inside. Once you go inside you will learn a lot about the secret of architecture and design, how the life inside the Kasbah used to look like.

Despite the confusion 2 entrances (we did both) I really enjoyed this kasbah way more than Ait Ben Haddou (way less toursim and less merchandisers trying to sell you overpriced stuff) A must see

Definitely worth a visit if you like historical buildings. A 17th century house/palace.

Really beautiful place. I totally recommend to take a guide (70€ for a group). The most impressive kasbah we’ve seen in tge area.

Excellently reformed Kasbah, with a very informative guide that taught us some stories about the place as well as the reason behind each room and explanation of how the family would organise themselves in such a vast area.

Nicely maintained Kasbah. They charge 40dh for a ticket and totally worth it. Also a lot of objects traditionally used around - most have pictures showing usage (pay attention to the many ovens around). You can have a guide, but that's totally optional and no one pushed for it.

Tour gentlemen gave an excellent presentation on Skoura Oasis since the 11th century has been unchanged.

We visited the right hand one (the original according to the Loneky
Planet). We paid 40 MAD for a guide, which seemed pretty reasonable, who told a lot about the role of the kasbah in society, how it was built, what happened and who lived where etc. I think this was a really good investment. Very interesting visit of a very nice site. As far as I can tell the left hand one is part restaurant and hotel as well as kasbah. It was a pleasant place for a drink afterwards.

Fantastic experience. Don't miss this Kasbah in your trip to Morocco.
Most of all, get a guide (they are very good). Extremely interesting experience.

Had an incredibly informative tour by Reda, a very energetic, enthusiastic guide. Cannot recommend highly enough if you want to experience and learn what life was like for a wealthy family living in a kasbah 300 years ago. My teenage kids loved it!

Very interesting old Kasbah full of fascinating engineering feats! Our guide was incredibly kind, fun, knowledgeable and passionate about the impressive building he was showing us that has been lovingly restored and cared for by the private family that still owns it. More interesting and engaging than Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, and no one inside trying to sell you things! Definitely worth the stop.

Beautiful place well preserved and we were lucky to get a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable and extremely humorous. Architecture was wonderful specially the small courtyard inside with lush date palms an ancient well and a whole wall of old weapons. The stairs leading to the first floor of the kasbah were pretty steep and uneven but it was worth the effort. We saw the family kitchen and the way the walls were constructed to keep it cool in Summer and warm in Winter. This is a must see place. The adjoining restaurant built keeping in mind the old world character was charming, food was excellent hot and freshly cooked even the bread. One of my most wonderful memories of Morocco.

A great site to visit. Most of the kasbah is in a superb condition. If you have the opportunity, explore the kasbahs of the surrounding area. They are crumbling but impressive.

Beautiful and feels like it’s new. Didn’t go inside as it costs 40 Dirhams (Jan 2024) and we already visited Ait bin haddou. But it was so nice from outside.

An amazing building, helps a lot to understand about the local culture and architecture. The exhibition inside also really cool, don’t skip the photos, it’s amazing to understand the progress people made here because of different reasons. Also, there is a cafe inside, if you would like to try.

Authentic Look at Life in a Kasbah
I found Kasbah Amridil very very very interesting. It provides an authentic, in depth look at what life was like there once upon a time. You are free to wander around and explore at your own pace, soaking in the authenticity of the experience. Highly recommended

The kasbah is one of the biggest which is open to visit, and it is not inhabited anymore. There is an entry fee of 20 Dirhams per person, and in addition to the entry fee, there are guides who are very knowledgeable of the kasbah, speaking Spanish, French and English. At the end of the tour, which lasts for 30-40 minutes, tips for the guides are very much appreciated.
