Eco Farme Tamalait

Located off the beaten track, we managed to take the small little road which wound its way through the barley fields, old Kasbah's and palm trees. It took us 20mins to get there from Skoura. We found out later that there is another wider and quicker road.
We had a wonderful 1 night stay. Our family room was comfortable and clean. The outdoor areas were the highlight of the property.
We arrived around lunchtime after a visit to the local ancient Kasbah Amridil. Mohammed greeted us and offered to make us lunch. A delicious meal, with fresh vegetables and grilled meats.
After a much needed siesta, our host took us on an interesting and educational 2 hour walk through the oasis, explaining all about the plants, water irrigation and the effects of drought in the area. A once lushes area is now being heavily affected by lack of water, having a negative effect on wildlife and farming. A real eye opener on how climate change is affecting this region.
The following morning Mohammed took us to a local carpet seller Cadeaux Berbere Skora, where we found our local carpet souvenir.

Best stop on our Morocco tour. We had an amazing time at the Eco Farme Tamalait and enjoyed every moment. Hicham (one of the five brothers) is the best chef. He uses the most amazing spices and vegetables from his own garden. Everything is very authentic and loving. I would recommend it to everyone to experience the tranquility and hospitality of the brothers.

This is an amazing place with amazing people! It is all made by the 5 brothers of this family who are very friendly and informal. You experience the real Berber hospitality. The food is made with fresh products from the garden and are all biological. The food is abondant and made with the heart, they really care to make you feel at home and part of the family. It is all cooked on real fire... Don't miss it!

We loved the magical place Hicham and his brothers have created! Our favorite place in Morocco! Beautiful mud brick houses, plants and colours everywhere- you can feel the heart these people have put in the eco-farm! Different from many other experiences we had in Morocco when we were often seen as only tourists, Hicham received us with lots of kindness and made us feel at home as real friends. We got to know his family, animals and ate his amazing food! Hicham is a real diamond and we will always remember the beautiful time we spent together! Thank you for everything! We had the best time at the eco farm! Hicham and Mohammed are the nicest people. They have created a really beautiful place. It was a perfect for us to relax in between our traveling.

We had some special nights with music, good conversations and good food! I wish to come back one day.

We came here for lunch during a walking tour of Skoura. The owners here are super nice and the food was great. While we didn’t stay here overnight, they showed us the accommodations and it looks like a beautiful place to stay. They’re building a very eco friendly spot in a place that is very much affected by climate change.

Such a nice place to go to! You really feel the nice vibe of the village and the place of the brothers feels like home. You can take nice walks through the mystical scenery, or just enjoy some tea at their great garden. They have nice animals so our daughter was a very happy girl. So also a nice place for some kids, there are hardly any cars an the village people are very kind. The brothers can show you the environment of you like, like the Kasbah and the pottery. But also make you feel free to do nothing and enjoy their cooking. We loved it and would highly recommend this warm place!

My brother and me stayed there for few nights in January. We definitely loved the place, the atmosphere, our hosts were kind and gave us great advices... And the food! I would say the best we ate in our 3 weeks roadtrip in the country. Thank you Hicham and Mohamed!

this ecofarm is sucha great place. make sure to not miss it when visiting morocco. peacefulness & beauty. hicham & mohammed are the best hosts you could wish for. when you want to reach the place more easy, make sure you turn into the little street where the big electricity mast stands.

We spent 5 nights at the Ecofarme. It has been absolutely wonderful. It is an actual farm (permaculture style) and the brothers running it work in the fields with a team to have the best possible products for their guests.

The rooms are comfortable with nice private toilets and showers.

The food that Mohammed and his brother Hissan, together with the cousin Suhad cooked everyday for us has been the best in all Morocco. Picking fresh vegetable from their own gardens, they made the most amazing dishes.

We went there with public transport and Mohammed helped us getting around aboard his amazing 1975 Renault 12. This in itself is already worth the visit.

We are so happy we went there and recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic, simple but incredible experience.
