A unique experience. Felt as though l'd traveled back in time. Delightfully restored building that's been run by the same family for 400 years.

Mohammed was great and collected and dropped off our luggage back to the car via motorbike. The views from the Kasbah were stunning. At night the building is lit inside by candles. There were charging points and our bedroom also had electric lights.

An exceptional place to stay. The experience of navigating and eating by candlelight is truly memorable and made all the better by the warm and homely hospitality of Mohammed and his family. They cooked us two wonderful meals in the evening and morning, and gave us memories we will never forget. I really hope I get the opportunity to return here one day.

Such a special place! We wish we had more time to stay longer. Staying in the old city what very authentic experience. The hosts were amazing. No electricity wasn't a problem. They have solars so it's possible to charge your phone during the day if needed. Candle light dinner and evening was also a great experience and the food was really delicious. And the room was very confortable. Totally recommend if you want to stay in ait ben Haddou. Absolutely nothing bad to say really. This place is magical!! Shoukran!!!
(You have to know what you book. A lot of the bad reviews are just people that had no idea what their were booking)

We had a totally wonderful stay at Kasbah Tebi and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The kasbah has been lovingly restored by Mohammed and his brother and it is run as a family business. It feels genuine and homely. The lack of electricity is so lovely to experience and we had such a cosy evening. The food was wonderful especially the breakfast. I do hope we’ll be back one day.

Wonderful place to get the full atmosphere of these ancient buildings. There is no electricity except for some sockets to plug your phone but the light of the candles improves the experience. Be aware that this hotel has no swimming pool. The pictures of the swimming pool are actually from another place across the river. The decoration of the rooms consists on typical clothing hanged on the walls which may be a little creepy but at the same time is different and interesting. The dinner was lovely and very tasty. The staff was really kind. Well apart from the mosque so you can get a nice and quite sleep. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended. The place has no electricity but this is part of the charm; it is lit up wonderfully by candles at night. There is warm water to shower with, so the stay is comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the location is of course fantastic. Mohammed and his family are very nice people. Note that the stay is quite expensive compared to prices for other Kasbah stays in the region. You are paying for the location and for the upkeep of UNESCO world heritage.

One of two places to stay in the old Kasbah - Mohamed is a great host. The place has been renovated but remains simple - at night there is only candlelight, but can charge phones in dining room. If you want ro experience how it may have been to live in a Kasbah this is the place to go. The food was excellent - the friendly chef greeted us on arrival with tea and snacks, and hands down the best chicken, lemon, fruit and nut tagine I had during my stay in Morocco. Breakfast and dinner was included in the price!

An absolutely lovely Kasbah with hundreds of years of history. My fiancé and I originally were planning on only staying for one night, but ended up as two! Mohamed was so accommodating even with our extra night and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a traditional Berber Kasbah right in the center of an amazing town.

We loved our stay at Kasbah Tebi! It is very beautiful and suits the old village of Aït Ben Haddou.

Our room was beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style.
There is no electricity in the room, but you can light the room with candles. Which makes it an even more special experience. But don't worry about you phones and cameras, it's possible to charge your electronic devices at the reception.

We also chose to have dinner here AND so glad we did that. They served a traditional three-course meal, which was more than perfect and tasted very very well! Also the breakfast was made and served with the same love and tasted very well.

But above all: we would like to thank this lovely family for making our stay perfect!

If you want to overnight in the beautiful village of Aït Ben Haddou don't look further, cause Kasbah Tebi is the place to be!

Kind regards,
Anthonius & Kim

Super cool to be away from electricity, with just candles to light the way at night. (There was a power strip to plug in things if you really needed it downstairs). The bathrooms were super nice and they had running hot water. It was very cool to be in an ancient city with mud walls.

Now THIS is an experience! Accessing the town of Ait Ben Hadu, and thus the Kasbah Tebi hotel, is as interesting as it gets! Have you ever had to...ford a river to get to your hotel room? Ait Ben Hadu as a whole is a step back in time to an authentic - and electricity-free - way of life. Each step through the low, babbling river that protects the ancient town is one step further back in time. It had just rained the night before we arrived, but the river is apparently otherwise dry or extremely minimal.

Kasbah Tebi has its own entrance to the city, so it feels like you are a private traveler stopping for the night on a trans-Saharan journey. It's so easy to slip into the veil of fantasy here as you explore the beautifully-restored structures and climb to the top of town and peer over the distant mountains, valleys, mosques, and towns.

Our room was lovely with a door out to a private balcony. When it gets dark outside it is absolutely pitch black inside given the thickly-walled architecture, but there are many candles in the room to light - and you can't beat the soft glow illuminating your stay. Dinner is the same - entirely candlelit. We had a lovely homemade tagine meal followed by a starlit walk by the river and around the village.

I would gladly let my imagination run wild again here on my next visit.

We loved our stay at Kasbah Tebi. Mohammed and his brother couldn't have been more welcoming. My fiancee and I had a blast on our road trip around Morocco, but this was the absolute highlight of the trip. Breathtaking landscape, friendly people, and amazing food. I highly recommend Kasbah Tebi!

Spectular once in a lifetime experience staying in a 100s year old Kasbah that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting of countless movies! Our suite was huge and filled with traditional Moroccan rugs and furniture. There was a hot shower but no electric lights. The entire property is lit exclusively by candel light.....so romantic! The breakfast and dinners were included and were so delicious and well prepared. Our hosts, Houssain and Mohammed, and the entire staff bent over backwards to assure our comfort and enjoyment. I highly recommend that you put a night's stay in this magical kasbah on your bucket list!!!!

A stay of its own kind! We have never done anything like this before!

This bnb makes its honest attempt at getting you the most authentic experience of a Moroccan kasbah. You stay in a Kasbah of Ksar Ait Benhaddou. It is one of the only two Kasbahs where guests can stay overnight in the Ksar.

On top of this, they take it another step ahead by making sure that there is no use of electricity in the Kasbah i.e. only candles and gas lamps are used (hot water is available in the showers but no wifi). This is what makes it so special - you can actually feel how people must have lived hundreds of years back in these Kasbahs.

Other than this, the bnb has basic amenities and comfortable beds. The rooms could be slightly small but its worth it for the experience.

Dinner is always limited to menu of the day (offering choices for food becomes difficult for them because of lack of amenities), but they put in all their effort towards making that one meal as one of your best eating experiences in Morocco - candle lit tables with lip smacking Tajine and desert.

If you are planning to visit Ait Ben Haddou, you must consider staying one night here for the experience.

A highlight of our month in Morocco. I can’t recommend this place enough for the experience of staying in a restored kasbah within this incredible site. We were here for two nights and I wish we had stayed longer. Our local hosts who owned and operated the place were super friendly and so welcoming.

Most possibly the most unique accommodation that I have stayed in. The charming kasbah is situated right in the heart of the UNESCO site. There’s also no lighting in the kasbah at night, and illumination is entirely by candles, which I feel adds to the charm of the experience. Be prepared for some technology detox with no WiFi and mobile connection though.

Amazing place to stay and book directly for a better price. It is worth knowing that there is no electricity or WiFi but the candle light and silence make the evenings magical. It is worth getting up for a sunrise and if you wake in the early hours go on the roof for an incredible view of the stars.

Magnificent! There was no electricity within the kasbah, so eating and sleeping there was like experiencing ancient Morocco. The earthen clay structure of the ksar itself felt like we were living in a bygone era. It was a wonderful experience!

Like staying in 18th century Morocco, this was truly a unique experience. We had running water in our room, shower, toilet, and sink. Light at night was provided by candlelight, including a wonderful candlelight dinner. Breakfast was provided outside. The service was excellent as well. You must give it a try!
