Lovely place with awesome atmosphere. We started with Moroccan tea and then ordered 2 tagine and burger. The food went down as treat. We were soaking up the heat and heard music come on and saw the ladies in the kitchen jamming to some Moroccan tune. Loved to watch them enjoy while they were working. A must visit place - loved the positive energy the ladies had 😍

Absolutely spectacular! Delicious Moroccan burgers in a pita with beef, chicken, or vegetarian options. They have a cooperative of ~40 women.
The service was amazing the food and the tea :)
Highly recommended!

We recently were lucky enough to travel to Morocco in October 2023, had lunch at this restaurant and it was the best of the whole trip.
Amazing, tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection. Well done ladies.

Delicious food and a beautiful cafe. The women running this are very smiley and friendly. The omelette berber was the best we’ve had in Morocco. They were very welcoming to our dog too.

Stopped by for a rest after touring the Casbah. Had tea and the most delicious cookies! Some with anise and some with peanuts. These are prepared in a traditional Berber oven (pictured) on the premises. We met Lelah, the proprietor, who was very welcoming and explained the nature of her business. This is a women's co-op run and staffed totally by women, a rarity in this beautiful nation. One person in our group ordered the kefta burger which had all our mouths watering. If we didn't have an included tour dinner someplace else we definately would have all eaten there!!
It is located just over the bridge on the casbah side.

The burger was delicious here and very well priced. Our guide took us to an expensive tourist cafe but we left to come to this restaurant, which was half the price and not as touristy.

The only place to eat in Haddou! Superb veggie tagine. Fussy eaters bowled over. Come early in the morning to see how the Berber bread is baked. Beautifully decorated, lovely views, friendly people. The design has a permaculture sort of feel: wood fired oven in a niche built around a palm tree (see photo)

Perfectly balanced flavours made by the never women who are truly great cooks. Succulent chicken meat fell off the bones and the sauce of the tagines was superbly cooked just like it’s at home for these wonderful people.

Lovely place with a very nice lady that served us today. We had unlimited tea and coffee and some sweets. Both tea and coffee had great flavours of spices and snacks were very tasty.
It was really pleasant to relax in a shade, highly recommended.

Please, avoid the bar of the tour. This is a small place to eat delicious food and very fast. Its managed by two woman and the food is 100% fresh hand handmade with vegetables of her houses and fresh meat. Also they are so kind and its very cheap.

Possibly the best in Aït Ben Haddou! It's run by a women's solidarity cooperative (a real one, as you can see, it's being run by women, unlike the fake cooperatives where you're greeted by men), they offer food, great tea and snacks for a good price, and it's very peaceful and not touristy. A wonderful place to relax by the river!
