Fantastic experience allowing you to step back in time. Huge underground bunker hidden underneath a health spa. The soviet bunker has been left intact with all working equipment still inside. This is a unique experience and a perfect day trip from Riga. They also have a restauraunt above ground serving good quality local food and refreshments.

Interesting story and rooms. Size of the bunker is 2000 m^2 of which only a fraction is visited during the tour. It was nice that guide and tour were quite relaxed. A lot of original technical devices and machines are touchable/ 'operatable' also for visitors.

Tour also comes with a canteen visit with nice pelmeni and drink. Can definetly recommend

It's an awesome piece of history hidden not far from Cesis town in Latvia. Build in the 80s and could host up to 300 people.
You can visit only by booking in advance, “12€” the tours are in English, Russian and Latvian and will take you up to 2 hours
The tour guides are very knowledgeable and funny and will not feel how time passes.
There is a merchant shop and parking as well.
It's difficult to visit without a car or an organized tour.
Worth to visit 🙏

Incredible experience and the best guide I've ever met. Mixed fun and tragic, information and role playing, capturing our attention like in a movie.

Fascinating history. Feels like you stepped back thirty years. Our tour guide was from Mexico and he was so funny and informative. Unlike any other place I have ever visited.

Very nice place. The English guided tour was crowded though.

Due to Covid you can’t have lunch inside the bunker’s cafeteria anymore, but it was still cool to see things from the Soviet times, which are functional and somewhat untouched.

You can feel climate of soviet communism and how it was back then. Informative guide and interesting place to visit. Also there is some interactive stuff :)
Tour is around 1h and it cost 13€ for adult. Well spent money
Call before visit and book tour as there is one per day at work days

Hard to get to, so best to rent a car but well worth it! Our tour guide Alejandro was amazing and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend, especially if you are a history lover.

Well worth the detour. These bunkers have been kept in highly original condition unlike many other high-tourist-traffic sites. The entrance via the rehabilitation centre only adds to the intrigue. Friendly guide and managed to get a private tour. A definite must for any cold.war history nerds!
Best to email ahead to confirm your times and language.

Loved This place!!! €10 for a 2 hour tour of the underground shelter. Well worth the money. Everything is untouched, so you can see how it would have been!! Regina was a great tour guide

Loved it. It was pretty impressive to see all the real remains of the Cold War and nothing is behind a glass so there is very little obstruction to kill the mood. It really takes you back to those days. I was the only non-Latvian in the group so my girlfriend translated the tour for me but the tour guide was very nice and helpful and checked in with me often to see if I had any questions. It was a very cool experience to visit here.

Good place to see our dark history. Ask guide Oskars, he knows all the details as he is the witness to all events that happened there.
