Ungurmuiža

Ungurmuiža was absolutely wonderful! It was beautiful and has its own charm! It’s located in the countryside so at some places the phones donmt really work. But in Ungurmuiža you just need to enjoy the nature, the building and everything else around! The food in the restaurant was amazing and the rooms were comfortable!

Ungurmuiža is a classic way to get to know Latvia's manors. Inside you will find 2 floors and more that 15 rooms to look at. There are original paintings on the walls, historical documents, tools and paintings. On the 2nd floor there usually are an exibition of some kind. I visited in july 2023, then there was a exibition of modern paintings of one Latvian author. This can be up to 2 hour long experience- one hour for the building itself and one for the other buildings (tea house, restaurant and the chapel) and beautiful old-tree park.

Biggest wooden manor in Baltics with restored paintings and enthusiasts preserving original setting. I can highly recommend the guided tour as you will appreciate the history of the place.

Fantastic nature! And a remarkable work of art, the manor itself. We had a great time on this rainy October day and finished our trip with a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Made a stop at Ungurmuiža manor in the way to Cēsis town. From plans just to see oak tree by the parking turned into 3 hours of relaxed atmosphere and lunch. English park was superb and lunch - tasty. Can recommend for peace seekers and nature lovers, as well as culture heritage explorers.

What a nice wooden mansion and its surroundings. Museum introdusing the interiors of the building, some furniture and photos. Also a restauraunt is available.

They should have english texts in the museum, currently mainly latvian.

A really nice and picturesque place. The park around the manor has some really beautiful, old trees which gives it a magical feeling.

Unique wooden Manor House filled with beautifully-preserved painted wooden beams. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food prepared to historical recipes - fine dining with a real sense of history, and the brilliant Kaspers makes guests feel entirely at home - a magic evening.

A gorgeous, calm and unique place for sure - great for simple romantic walks, as well as for overnight stays.

Great restaurant with nice and delicate plates. We took the duck and the cooling was really fine. Excellent chocolate fondant too.

I would give 10 stars I highly recommend to go do not miss it and the restaurant fantastic food tool a long time to come but worth it.
