Saree Ella Waterfall

Such a nice waterfall where you can visit easily. There’s a road (can go by vehicles) which leads very close to the waterfall. The surrounding gives such a cool and pleasant vibe. You can have a nice bath since the water close to the waterfall isn’t that deep.

This waterfall can be reached by the narrow road which originates from the Bambarella bus stop. You could either walk from Bambarella bus stop or take this road by a vehicle. From this narrow road, you have to walk close to another 100m to reach the base of the waterfall. The base pool is shallow and suitable for a cold water bath.

Absolutely fantastic . Natural view was so amazing .If your are a traveler ,you must go there. Remember buses are not every time. Better to go your own vehicle . Washrooms are available . If you want to eat small sheds are there. Be ware of the leaches.Come back without harming the environment

Another beauty in the Knuckles range. The shape is of a saree and hence the name.

No tickets. We took the following route from Kandy. Kandy - Madawala - Panwila - Huluganga - Gomara. Road is not in the best condition but can be travelled by car.

From Gomara town there is about 2km on a very narrow concrete road to reach the falls. Road can be travelled on car but if another vehicle comes in the opposite direction things can get difficult. There are also 3 wheelers to hire at Gomara town.

At the top, there is a small car park. From the car park you have to walk about 200m to reach the falls. Safe place for bathing.

Love this calm place. You need to take a narrow road from panwila onwards to reach this Waterfall. It will take around 2 hours from kandy. Can reach very close to Waterfall by a van or car but not with a bus

The way to waterfall was bit narrow, but any vehicle can travel. Saree Ella lies 5 minute drive from the Bambarella town. On the way you can see the Jodu ella waterfall. You have to walk 300m to reach the waterfall. Leeches were there, therefore be prepared.

Saree Ella Waterfall is an amazing waterfall that flows down the middle of the village of Gomara based on the Knuckles Reserve. The waterfall consists of two parts. The upper part is about 20 meters high and this part is named as Saree Ella Waterfall because it takes the shape of a "sari" (traditional ladies dress). The lower part of the waterfall is located as a natural pool and is best suited for bathing. It was amazing and cool.

Wonderful, natural and beautiful place. Local people so friendly innocent Tamil people.. government should promote this place for more tourists. Even you can see jodu Ella, bambara Ella all nearby to this.. walkable distance.

Bambarella Saree Ella is one of the famous and magnificent waterfalls to Knuckels mountain range. This area is popular for a bunch of waterfalls surrounding Hulu Ganga.

As you can see there are two sections in the waterfall. If you like you can climb the first part without any trouble. then left side of the waterfall you can clear path to climb up.

The Bambarella Saree Ella is a 5-minute drive from the Bambarella junction. You can be accessed on any vehicle. This type of waterfall I never had before. It was amazing. The name of Saree Ella means the longness of the lady Saree.

The Best way to reached this waterfall is via wattegama, Hulugalla. Located in Gomara area and 30KM far away from Kandy. But it will take more than one hour. Under this waterfall there is a nice & cool pool to have a natural bath. — at Saari Ella Waterfall

Beautiful waterfall. waterfall dividing by three steps. Around 8km distance from Huluganga town. You can travel near to the waterfall by vehical and around 50 meters need to walking. awesome waterfall environment. Nice location to check in. Please Protect the environment.
