Aprota Villas Arugambay

Our stay at Aprota Villas Arugambay was awesome! We spent two nights in a cool bungalow with its own plunge pool. The villa is tucked away on Sri Lanka's east coast, close to the beach where we caught some amazing sunrises.

The place was super fancy, with everything we needed to feel comfy. The staff were really friendly and made us feel right at home. Manager Duminda was very supportive throughout our stay, which made it even better.

We loved chilling out by our private plunge pool, and the beach was just a short walk away. Watching the sunrise was the highlight of our trip!

Overall, Aprota Villas Arugambay was perfect for a relaxing getaway. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some beach vibes, this is the spot!

We really liked our stay at the Aprota Villas. The pool was amazing and the service and the food were excellent. The people who work their have a good heart and you feel that they want only the best for you. Ahmd Hanan and his team fulfill every wish. The room was huge and very clean. It was the perfect location for our honeymoon❤

The team in Aprota Villas was very committed and service oriented. They made it possible for us to check in just before midnight as we had to change our accommodation on short notice. Other comparable hotels in the area were not so flexible and helpful. The location is beautiful, directly at the beach. Especially the pool area is awesome and has beach views. Aprota Villas served as a perfect getaway for me and my friend, as it is hidden away in a calm and quiet location. The quality of the dining experience was exceptional and the hotel staff were always very warm and helpful.

We were able to get some surfing done at Pottuvil Point which we reached via Tuk-Tuk. Unlike the main surfing points at Arugambay, we found this location less crowded, clean and quiet during the surfing season in August. As I also was a beginner, the waves at Pottuvil Point were easier to surf and the surfing instructor we hired there was very helpful.

All in all, this was a great holiday experience! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm and relaxing environment to spend their holiday.

Most luxury resort in the east corner of the island. It made me visit this place 3 times, and still not getting bored because the eastern Lanka has many many activities to do. Highly recommend for linger holidays of 4,5 days or even more. Prestige villa is highly recommended since i have stayed in all categories before. The hospitality of milhan, bhanuka and the team is amazing. The Komari beach is one of the most isolated, unspoiled and safer beach where you will see elephants if lucky. Prestige villa 10 offers sea view patio where you can see a crystal clear sky at night and sleep under the stars if you wish to. This is in fact one of the best suites in the entire eastern stretch of ceylon.

Best Post-Covid Travel Experience!

Aprota Villas serve as a perfect getaway for post-covid travel, as it is hidden away in a calm & quiet location with plenty of space , privacy & elegance.

I highly recommend their newest Garden Bungalows which had an outdoor deck & a private plunge pool , in addition to the usual luxuries & amenities found within.

For me the highlights of the stay were the exceptional food & Wildlife Safari in the Kumana National Park which was facilitated by the hotel staff.

The surfing experience at the Whiskey Point which was only a few foot steps away ; unlike the main Arugambay Surfing points we found this location less crowded , clean & quiet.

it was such a lovely experience, i went with my wife and friends. the chef was very kind cater to all our cravings. over all the staff was friendly, the propertyis right next to the beach. pool was amazing. we will come back for sure.

AprotaVillas has a very nice property, big garden, a good restaurant and sympathetic staff. You can see, that they do their best, also in difficult times.For sure, also the villas are well done, but those, I didn't have a look at on my last visit. We went for lunch, and it was great!
Anyway, of course recommendable!

Hands down one of the best villas I’ve stayed at. The rooms were extremely spacious giving us room to spread out. The rooms were of high quality and the service was fantastic. The food was delicious and exactly what I needed to wind down and relax after. Definitely proper villa vibe here. I wished we could have stayed for longer.

The Aprota Villas are located on the Eastern Coast of Sri Lanka near Arugambay. The Villas are on the beach with spectacular views of the ocean. After a long drive from Trincomalee (North), it was a relief to be staying at such beautiful place with all the conveniences. The rooms are beautiful with most having ocean views. The resort is new and has been designed with the international traveler in mind: large and very comfortable rooms and beds, spacious bathrooms, good WiFi, super clean, balconies and first class linens. This is the place you would want to stay for luxury and privacy. The ocean is a short walk out the door from each chalet and the beaches are beautiful. You can walk ten minutes down the beach to Whiskey Point where lots of kids and adults are surfing and learning to surf from locals. There is a beautiful pool on site that is great for kids and adults. There is excellent shopping for local arts and crafts in the nearby town and the Kumana National Park is 20 minutes away. Kumana is national treasure and a must see. We took a day trip through park and made two sightings of the rare spotted leopard plus lots of elephants, deer, eagles and numerous wildlife and literally thousands of birds. Unforgettable!! The staff at the Villas embody the spirit of Sri Lanka: friendly, kind and ready to help in any way. We enjoyed several excellent meals at the restaurant. Just tell them what you like and they will try to make it. I had a fantastic Sri Lankan crab dinner; the crab had just been caught. With fresh crab, a few Lion beers and
a view of the ocean, it doesn't get much better at any restaurant in the world. The Villas and the area is a must visit for any visitor to this part of the island.

Has a protective fence that protects kids from the beach and the pool was amazing It has a great waterfall like structure. Great place to go in the vacation.

And apparently a huge investment and show of confidence in this area 12km north of vibrant Arugam Bay.
The location is very isolated and remote.
This sort of development would work well in Arugam Bay. But it might take many years for Urani to catch up

It's lovely place and amazing swimming pool, so kind staff/steward, beautiful beach.

I was so impressed about the service and the place, place was clean, food was amazing and can recommend for anyone without a doubt. Anyone who’s willing to travel arugambay, must visit this place and trust me, you wont regret!
