I've been here yesterday you can have a good shopping here its located in the center of Almaty which is old and amazing Almaty around you can find everything like cafe and supermarkets its close to "Green bazaar" and Sayakhat and conditer farm "Rakhat".
So I' ve bought here two books my favourites is Agatha Christie as I love detective stories in english and of course one is Nicolas Sparks in russian Best in you "Лучшее в тебе". They cost in total 3k.in tenge.So another thing you can find in this store is not only books and sweets and deliciuos marshmellow and other kinda candies.If you are in Almaty you have to visit this place as its our like city symbol places as "Yibileinyi" next to it , from long time used to be Almatyan people's fave places.

This is a very good shop for a geek and kids. I love it but I won't take my kid there bcs she'll be crazy if she sees all the candies and toys.

Quite popular place in city centre to spend your time. Most of famous books and vinyl are here! Some sweets and coffee inside also available.

Great book & gift shop with a very cozy ambiance. And probably the only pet friendly place in Kazakhstan.

Great book store in the city center. Most books are in Russian language, but there are some in Kazakh as well. The children's books and toys are located in an area downstairs. It's also a good place to buy office supplies such as notebooks and sticky notes or creative supplies like paints. It has classy posters and decorations on the walls and is overall an enjoyable place to spend time!

Great book store with large variety of books on range of subjects. Upstairs it has a small music store where you can find a CD with traditional Kazakh music, which i was after in the first place. In regards to choise and depth of subject coverage, comparable to some of the best stores in the states. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One downside - their catalog system seems not to be working that well. Overall, a great place to stop by and hang out if you like books.

It's very convenient when you need to by present, there you can find books, toys, sweets, everything for painting.

This is a perfect bookstore for people who needs to buys novels or books in English and Russian, although they do not have a lot of variety in the English aisle but they do have a good collection as compared to other book stores. This is a place for everybody who wants to shop for art accessories, gaming cds, vinyl records etc it's a whole package in itself and the cherry on the cake is that it is just next to the zhibek zholy metro station.

The store acts as a responsible culture promoter, hosting book signings and similar events. Good selection in all departments. Electronics is a bit overpriced.

One of the best book shops in the country... it is open 24/7, anytime you can come, read books having coffee and some sweets... I love this place
