Sungsimdang Bakery Head Store

This place is stunning. The line is huge, very popular place. I came in the evening, when there was fewer people. The biggest line is for their fresh beans buns, but the rest of the pastry is also great. I bought more and some of their stuff was still great after 2 days.

I’m not a baked goods aficionado but this place was a fun experience despite the long line and packed crowds. The variety of breads in this store is tremendous. I wish I could try each and every single one. But we only ended up getting eight different breads. They were all unique and quite delicious.

The food here was amazing. The bakery had so many good options I ate them before taking a picture. However, the restaurant upstairs was even better. The baked spaghetti was so good.

Very delicious and fresh bakeries, this is a famous one and known to be one of the best bakeries around. The prices are quite cheap and there is a wide selection. Highly recommended.

Super yummy foods. OMG, can't get enough! Been there last Sept. 25, 2019 and returned on Sept. 27 to buy some more. Cakes, pastries and bread are so incomparable..... you should try it.

Old establishment since 1956. This is the main branch. Was super crowded. Offered so many choices, was hard to decide. Earned a Michelin star in recent years. Famous for their crispy red bean bun. There was a restaurant on 2nd floor and a traditional cake shop opposite. At the fashional shopping streets.

A really fancy bakery, yet suited for the 'commoners'; their bread is tasteful and more importantly, a big part of Daejeon's culture. MUST visit the HQ if visiting this city, which may seem like it is less of a tourist city.

Probably the most famous bakery in Korea. It got really famous because they were on the michellin guide's green book. Tugimsoboru is the most famous bread in this bakery which is a fried bread with sweet red bean paste in it. They have tables on the 2nd floor which also serves coffees and drinks. Next to their main building there is a cake shop runed by this place.

All of the signatures were so good. The red beans were legit.

This is the most famous bakery in Daejeon. A trip to Daejeon is not complete without stopping here! There is soo much to choose from! Everything there is the perfect amount of sweetness and they also have a variety of savory items. My favorite (not pictured) is the 튀김소보로 (twigim soboro) is my absolute favorite. I buy it every time. It’s a struesel bread with red bean paste on the inside. During holidays, they have themed pastries which are also a must!

I like 튀김소보로 so much!!! It’s not too sweet. It’s perfect taste for everyone. I would recommend everyone to try it.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear this is the perfect place if you are a big fan of bakery. I cannot find anymore place that is better than here. This place has the best chewy tasty pasteries, and beautiful cakes and puddings. The place is seperated in two; pasteries & cakes. It's right next door, but you pay at different cashier.

There are a few places of Sungsimdang. I recommend all visitors take a look at maps in any blog. Of course breads are delicious. The most famous bread is Twiso series, such as Twisogooma.
