National Science Museum

a good place to go with kids to keep their enthusiasm for science

I think thos museum is rhe first place to vosot of you have a kid. It is free and spacious to stroll around with lots of scientific amusements. This is the biggist science museum in Korea.

A very big museum, absolutely worth visiting! It had 3 main buildings, one is a natural history museum with rocks and animals including dinausaurs, another one is practical, where you can try some experiments and the third one (my favourite) is dedicated to technology and the future. The entrance is free and the park around is is very beautiful.

The place was charming to know history, present and future

Museum features well-presented displays of Earth's various epochs, complete with globe models showcasing their appearance. Highlights include a striking trilobite exhibit from the Paleozoic period and impressive Mesozoic dinosaur skeletons. The evolution of birds from dinosaurs is another standout exhibit. Nice!

It's a science museum. Very nice museum mny things are here to see for everyone it's very good for childerens. It's little bit difficult to explain here everything but I am sure that it's a very nice museum. Everyone must visit this place

I am in love with Korean Museums. One of the reasons is the National Science Museum. Starting from prehistoric era to latest modern technologies, the evolution of human civilization and scientific progress cannot be displayed more better than this. I would love to visit anytime.

The Natural Science Museum is a wonderful place for adults and children. It has various buildings which scientific marvels from Korea and around the world. This museum has a charming playground and park along with a family friendly price. It is just outside the city center but make the trip and let your imagination flow through its exhibits.

This is the premiere science museum of South Korea and is well worth the visit. This is true even if you are not korean language proficient as most if the exhibits have English language explanations.
I have been to science museims all over the world including the NYC Natural History Museum and this one here is in the big leagues. The exhibits related to the epochs of the earth are very well presented. Each one includes a earth model globe showing how the earth looked at that period. I was especially impressed with the trilobite exhibit for the Paleozoic period. Also there are Mesozoic dinosaur skeletons that are really impressive. I was particularly impressed with the exhibit related to how birds evolved from dinosaurs! Look at the photos as I tried to show a few of the exhibits at this world class miseum. I have not covered the other buildings like the planetarium or Science Technology Building.
I could go on and on about the excellent section on insects, plants, and animals of the Cenozoic but please go and experience these exhibits while visiting Daejeon. There is also an area for camping. There is no fee for the museum but parking is about $2 and there is ample parking too.

One of the best museum located near KAIST in Daejeon. Exhibitions of dinosaurs and other animals. Not crowded since i went there during weekdays. There were other museums but not every museum is free for entry. So do check before barging in.

Natural history hall was very educational and informational about the history of the earth from the perspective of Korea. There were Korean dinosaurs too!

The science and technology hall was fun for kids

Delightful place...will go again :) ..it was cold and raining but the place promises to be fun outdoors on a nice sunny day

My family had a great time. There are lots of hands on activities for kids. We stayed around 3 hours and probably made it through half the museum.

I loved this place! It kept us busy for hours. Amazing installations and things to learn.

This is one of the scientific culture facilities in Republic of Korea which studies and exhibits various scientific materials. At its center is the Austronaut Hall which is the largest dome in Korea. From there we can vividly see the phenomenon of the celestial sphere and the human development of space. It also has the only world-class space theater in Korea. The 242 seats are available on a first-come first serve basis. It can re-create the appearance of a night sky, the highlight being the view of the starlight at the planetarium.

It's a really good education for children and under teenagers.
