This place is good if you want to experience public market here in Daejeon. Also there is a cool spot here where youngsters will enjoy!

Worth to visit. Just note that it close at 6pm. But due to weather some close even earlier. Lots of local snacks and stalls to buy and try.

Good

Jungang market is one of the typical traditional market that can easily seen in anywhere in Korea. What I rate high is actually the street across the stream. There were lots of good shops, bakery and cafes, and especially, I'd like to recommend a good dessert cafe "A Twosome Place" right across the stream. It's actually one of Korea's famous franchise cafes we can frequently see, but the one there was extraordinarily spacious and served quite good quality desserts - puddings, cakes and Ice shaves with various fruit flavor. Impressive.

A must go for tourists. Vast marked with a range of everything you would or would not eat. Amazing place with a lot of street food for quick snacks and even some coffee shops. Cash only!

One of big market in daejeon. Clean and lots of choices. Some stuffs are cheap. If you like to find korean snacks, they have various snacks and meals there. I love the hotteok in this market.

I lived in Daejeon, South Korea for two years and I LOVED this market. It has EVERYTHING! From grocery to kitchen utensils to furniture to hanboks. It is HUGE!!! My favourite part of the market aside the grocery is the variety of Korean dishes sold here.
It is very accessible with many gates and it is also very close to the Daejeon Station subway and many buses notable amongst them 606, 604, 802, 705, etc. There's also a stop for taxis so there shouldn't be a problem finding a means of transport to and from them. It is also a few hundred metres from away from Sky Road, Eunhaengdong and Daejeon Station. Enjoy!

Lots of foods and streets are clean. Peoples are very kind. English was short lol. If u dont have a map little bit hard to find a store or cuisine.

This market was massive! I initially thought Pyeongtaek's Tong Bok market was huge, but the jungang market practically dwarfed it. It was also conveniently located next to thr train station so it was an awesome before and after treat while being in Daejeon.

A very lively market near the station in Daejeon. I saw happy dancing people and had some good jeon and local makgeolli.
