Garden of Morning Calm

Their winter illumination is beautiful. The best I’ve seen! 💜 Be prepared of the super cold weather though. Bring gloves!! There are also some food stalls outside that serve really good snacks.

Would love to come back here during other seasons to see the beautiful garden.

What a gorgeous place to hangout and stroll around. Unfortunately its way too cold for me and out of my league. Haha, i do enjoyed it but its just too cold. Just need to soak into the winter weather and enjoy the scenery. What a beautiful place. A lot of people for sure but the spaces are huge to move around and have a look.

Wanted to do snow angel but its way to thick the snow so we decided to forgo.

Would love to see this garden during spring and am sure its just perfect too. ❤

Though it is called the Garden of Morning Calm, it dazzles at night time during the winter.

Lights of different colors twirl around trees and plants, form tunnels, turn themselves into hearts and cresent moons, create a sea with a yacht sailing in it, as well as a magical world where you can almost see Jack on the beanstalk and Cinderella in her pumpkin coach.

While the lights don't blink or flash, they just don't need to. The static lights are a spectacle in their own right. Immersed in this aura of fantasy, you would easily break free from reality and forget where you are. It's quite an experience indeed.

Absolutely stunning. Despite being an extremely touristy spot, the sheer size of the garden still allows one to experience an abiding sense of calm and serenity. The smell of the flora perfumes the air around you. If you are here on a tour package, you may find that you have insufficient time to fully appreciate this garden. Nevertheless, it's truly beautiful and pictures do not do it justice.

This place is absolutely beautiful. There are so many themed gardens to explore, each very unique. You could easily spend half a day in this garden. There are multiple places to sit and relax and enjoy the gardens. Very tranquil experience. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're in Korea.

Visited the place with my family during 2023 Autumn.

Whoever named the place kept it apt. Though there are large crowds of People Calmness could be felt still.

It was colourful and lived upto the expectation which we had.

Please do cover the entire Garden and would take about 2-4 hours depending on the photos 😉

A worthy visit and never to be missed during autumn season for sure.

Please do try the cafe in there and some souvenirs also offered by them.

Unexpectedly beautiful place.

We went here with zero idea what to expect or see. The place has a lot of areas that are of different theme. The flowers are blooming just perfect.

The display of colours is also amazing. It’s a good idea to bring snacks and drinks for picnic. Perfect place for families to bond.

Highly recommended for elderlies too!

Wonderful and beautiful garden, from any point of view. Start from the entrance, we can feel the nature, fresh air, chirping bird, with stunning landscape of trees, flowers and lakes. When we go uphill, the view will just keep getting better, clear sky with birdview in the middle of amazing garden. Expect to spend hours in here just to sit, relax and enjoy.

Absolutely beautiful place. We went here during the worst season for visit (winter and during morning time) yet still astounded by the scenery. The tour guide provided small voucher we spent for snacks after our tour to compensate for the 'bad scenery'. Would love to visit again on a different season but winter.

The place is amazing at night, there are many clean washroom and place to eat, there is also a gallery. The only thing that didn't let me enjoy my trip is the weather!! It was -11 and because it was freezing we couldn't spend enough time to explore the whole garden.

such a BEAUTIFUL garden!! there’s lots of different paths to take and they’re all equally as stunning - you can buy tickets when you enter plus there’s a cafe and bakery inside that serves some great stuff! couldn’t recommend more! we went late afternoon when the sun hits the trees just before it sets behind the mountains and it was incredible!

We went here at sub zero degrees, wet weather and high winds and STILL found this garden an incredible experience. Each garden has a theme and it was enchanting to walk through and explore.

Some of the displays have small platforms to stand on to pose and take cute photos. During the year it’s all gardens but during Winter they have the LED light display so you can enjoy it regardless of seasons. Come after 6.30pm to enjoy it at its full glory! It was one of the highlights of our time in Korea.

Plenty of benches to sit on to rest if you have small kids and you can keep warm buy trying some of the different cafe’s there. Cafés are heated with umbrella stands.

Beautiful lighting during winter. As our tour guide joke as we cannot see the greenery during winter the garden owner setup lighting for us to see. We are lucky to see a deer in the forest” wish to spend more time there but was as we joined a tour so we are limited to around a hour plus. There are number of tour group after visiting Nami Island. Need to queue up to take picture for some popular area like the church background. There are 3 shops outside that sell snacks.

The winter nightlights are amazing!

And they are not at all tacky, I find most of them are decorated in a tasteful way that looks quite pretty.

Our favorite was the sunken garden, with sphere lights of different colors.

It's an easy walk, so you can cover the whole garden in less than two hours.

We came here via a tour. There are plenty of parking. I think it might be hard to get here by public transport but I might be wrong.

Many beautiful light fixtures and arrangements await you upon visiting, the fact that this doubles as both an amazing garden during the day and a spectacular light display at night gives it enough reason to go back and see the other side to it if you ever get the chance. If this is ever part of a tour package, this is definitely worth including regardless of the time of day

Garden of the Morning Calm is the most beautiful arboretum I’ve ever been to.

Visited on a weekend as part of the guided tour. I really really recommend coming here during afternoon-evening right before the sunset or early morning hours to avoid crowd. Our tour brought us here during sunset and soon it turned dark.

Such a beautiful, family friendly place to spend a couple of hours or more.

There are restrooms and some restaurants. Great trails for a serene walk.

I would have skipped NAMI ISLAND for this place but sadly none of the tours come without Nami Island.

This is a MUST VISIT especially during AUTUMN 🧡 There is an entrance fee of 11k won but it is worth every penny.

Beautiful, worth seeing! Great walk for about 2.5 hours. You can enjoy coffee and the views. I loved the theme gardens, bonsai, and the Korean one the most.

Wasn’t expecting much, so it kinda exceeds my expectations. The lightings look great. More than enough for your photo taking urge if you can find the spot. Try to go up the highest part, it’ll be worth your time.

A touristy to visit if in the area- we visit during the holidays so the lights made it look pretty. The kids enjoyed the evening and the outside snacks!

Gorgeous place, went there around sunset and took some stunning photos. It’s a bit hilly but nothing too extreme. Autumn is a perfect season for a visit but pretty sure every season looks stunning. Highly recommend a visit (would choose over Nami Island).
