Wakasaimo Honpo Lake Toya main store

I wish I had space in my tummy to order all the cakes on display because they looked so delicious! I highly recommend their strawberry shortcake, Mount Blanc, and pudding. You can't go wrong with them.

One important point to take note is when you buy prepackaged snacks at the shop, please do NOT assume that it is always cheaper to buy in boxes rather than individual packs because I was smart enough to do my calculation before I went to the register. As a result, I realized that certain items like their best sellers are definitely MORE expensive in boxes. So, if you are on a budget, you may want to take note of this.

For me, if certain items were cheaper if I bought them individually, then I was sure to buy them individually, but if the items were more expensive if I bought them in a box, I was sure to buy them individually.

The ice cream are very delicious, you really to try it once. Pastries are delicious too. Behind the shop are beautiful lake.

Lovely spot to eat by Lake Toya. We stopped by while touring the area. The menu includes Katsu Curry and Soba Noodles as well as other things. Fast and efficient service and they cater well to foreigners.

Very nice place to buy souvenir and snack. A must visit. Superb view of lake , perfect for coffee break and snack. A must visit in lake Toya.

The japanese sweet is awesome it looks like mini sweet potato but it is made from white bean and kombu! We also try the mini cheese cake and Softserve which ate so good as well.

A premium store selling very delicious Japanese pastries and tipbits. There is a cozy restaurant on the 2nd floor which offers very nice Japanese rice bowls, soba and tempura. I recommend you try this very popular Japanese snack as shown in the picture. Oishi!

Large store catering to tour groups. A large selection of items and food. With limited shopping options in Lake Toya onsen area, this is probably the largest place to shop for souvenirs.

Cakes are delicious.

The drinks here are self service so you just buy a cup then fill it up yourself. I had a cream puff which was delectable, soft as a cloud with just the right amount of sweetness in the cream. Also, they have free wifi which was a life saver as I had to do some work despite being on vacation, the staff just let me stay until they closed. They were so nice.
