Coffee break after the cruise trip in Lake Toya. Nice cafe with the yummy cheese cake, sandwich and refreshed coffee.

As this area is dominated by big resort hotels, it's surprisingly hard to find a good independent coffee shop. I was glad to run into this place, run by a couple, and they roast their own coffee! I liked the coffee(tried both iced and hot) and their cake was nice too. I liked sitting by the windows and see the world go by as it was snowing heavily outside. Good place to rest and recharge while you're walking around the lake!

We didn’t expect to find an independent coffee shop that serves such a good quality coffee in a small town here. You could tell that the owner is passionate about coffee and he has the attention to detail from the equipment that he invested and the way he brewed our coffees. We enjoyed this visit and would definitely come back again.

We enjoyed the coffee latte, cakes and rest there. Think it's ran by a couple. The decor is relaxing.

Was looking for a breakfast & coffee place. Had to visit since I saw they have roaster and specialty coffee served with meal (curry & sandwich). The chicken curry is so good and the coffee is superb. Owners are very friendly.

Great home roasted coffee and cheese cake. Can rest and have a cup of coffee here if u tired with sightseeing walking.
They also provide proper food.

It's small CAFE, but very warm and nice in the snowy days. We've spent a very good time there for having come coffee and cakes. Will visit again next time in Lake Toya.

One of the best sandwiches (ham + cheese + tomatoes + basil) I had in years. Excellent coffee and smoothie. Gâteau Chocolat was also good but seemed a bit less sweet for my taste. The price is very reasonable (sandwich + smoothie for ¥1,100, cake + coffee for ¥700). All food are handmade and the coffee is roasted in house. The owner are friendly and greet you with a big smile. The vibe is cozy and comfortable. Must visit if you’re at Toya lake.

Their sandwiches are super good and delicate, smoothy and coffee also nice. The waitress lady is very friendly. And The whole shop is cozy and lovely, with comfy music.

Small and comfy cafe that serves good coffee. Ordered both the hot coffee and hot latte and they were better than most coffee spots throughout my trip.

Their chicken curry dish is amazing. Highly recommend it. The coffee was also quite smooth. The wait time can be a little long so come with a bit of time to spare.

Great coffee and cheese cake!

The cheese cake is Superb! The latte was professionally done and the sandwiches were simple but very well prepared and good ingredients. I have traveled lots of Japan and this is the most impressive cafe yet.

Awesome coffee with a micro roastery. So good that we came back twice during our 1 night stay at Lake Toya area.

The food was great, especially the cheesecake. The price was average, and the enviroment was really good! We had a good time!

This place is not easy to spot on just passing by but they definitely deserve every passer-by's visit .
Coffee is locally roasted and good and the cakes are limited in choice but definitely nicely balanced and tasty.
Service is very polite and with a smile.

If you are looking for a place to shelter from the cold, Sangaku is a good option. Decent coffee, relaxed environment, yummy cheesecake and a surprisingly spicy and excellent chicken curry and rice with prices that doesn't break the bank.
