Shaw's Sushi Bar & Dining

This is truly an exquisite restaurant. Food is great! We got off bus at Kawaguchiko station and chanced upon this place. Really good. Staff communicate very well in English. Modern yet maintains Japanese traditional charm. Food is very fine, portions are big, and I feel a steal for the quality you are getting. Really liked this place.

This is truly food for the gods. We've had many very high end Japanese cuisine in the past and this place exceeded most of them in quality and taste. The passion and attention to detail on every single dish can be easily felt with every bite. It was surprise after surprise for us. I am so glad to have tried this place. I will remember this restaurant for a very long time.

This place is great! Near the train station and have more seating than most restaurants in the area. The restaurant overall atmosphere is better than most too. It’s not a run down hole in the wall type of restaurant. Food is excellent for the money.

This place is classy, clean and modern. Staff are friendly and love the good vibes. The food is served amazingly and quality is really good. We had tuna bowl, sushi roll, unagi rice and tempura and drinks. Best meal opposite the kawaguchi station.

Ordered salmon bowls and grilled eel rice bowl set. It was really good 👍 sushi is fresh, nicely cut and the green tea is awesome. You can definitely feel that they use high quality stuff.
Service was fast , friendly and good too. English menu available and staff can speak pretty good English.

Such an incredible dining experience! Everything was so fresh and prepared beautifully. Best sushi experience we’ve had in Japan. My husband is coeliac and was able to eat a gluten free meal which is difficult to find in Japan. I could not recommend coming here more. The meal was so reasonably priced for the quality. We were able to have a spectacular eating experience without blowing the budget. Come at opening time so you don’t miss out as they sold out for dinner by 7:30. Thank you again for the beautiful service!

So good! Deep fried octopus is so tender and sweet that we order a second helping. Assorted sashimi is super fresh! Set meal has great appetizers!

Great restaurant we having dinner here. Staff were very polite. This restaurant was English friendly. You need to come here early on dinner restaurant may close due to out of stock.

Great and calm restaurant, modern. Good service, English menu available, waiters also spoke English. Food was excellent, the tempura and sushi were amazing and for dessert they had warabimochi.

OMG, absolutely exquisite dining at Lake Kawaguchiko. We walked for miles around the shore of the lake and nothing stood out... Until we arrived back at the central station and found Shaw restaurant. We ordered the sushi set and to our surprise it included edamame, salad, a ribbon of nori tempura, miso soup and of course the sushi. Words can't describe how, with each bite, we were ever-more delighted with the delicate and thoughtful presentation, and the scrumptious flavors. Just an unforgettable, divine and unexpected pleasure to dine at Shaw!!

Very accommodating to dietary requirements including V,VE,GF etc. Staff were great and service 5 star. Food was very fresh and second to none. Well managed. Would recommend 👌

Excellent experience. The sushi was so fresh and tasted amazing. Go early, they sell out by 2 ish (sushi board sooner). The miso had excellent flavor and the fish was just incredible. Wait staff spoke English and were very kind and attentive.

I cannot believe that a restaurant at a scenic area could have such high quality! Their seafood is super fresh, not the best best quality but super super fresh. Definitely a good place to dine after your visit to the Fuji Mountain.

Amazing place, we ordered seared sushi bowl set and chocken teriyaki bento. Located near Kawaguchiko Station. Recommended to visit after a long trip hehe
