My eyes very sharp!! Walked past this cute little cafe, saw the window seat table next to the river is free! Faster walk in!

Nice chilling place, great for photo taking and relaxing in the rainy winter afternoon.

Had the lemon cake and red tea. Cake tasted is great, just a tab dry.

Watching the rain inside a warm cafe was nice ❤

A bright airy room with big windows with a view over the Miyagawa river and lots of wood greets visitors. The menu is taped to the wall. The selection is small but excellent: sandwiches, homemade cakes and drinks. Prices are moderate and the service very friendly.

Explored this cafe after our day outing to Hide Furukawa. Managed to find a table for 2. It's crowded everywhere as its a public holiday (Culture Day) in Japan.

The place is clean and bright. Menu is pasted on the walls where tables line the interior. We had apple pie, cappuccino, and a hot green tea. A very popular place with couples and families! We took a pic from the window facing the river bank - take a look.

A lovely spot overlooking the river (if you're lucky to get a seat at the window that is!). Small and unassuming. We had their carrot cake and apple pie, both clearly homemade and delicious. Coffee was decent as well 👍

Lovely coffee shop next to the river. If you are lucky enough you can get one table next to the window and enjoy the view.
Coffee is good and pastries are correct. I had a scone, which was a bit too dry though.
Nice place for a break while visiting Takayama. However the coffee is a bit expensive, about ¥500.

Had the best pumpkin cheese cake and apple pie in my life here. The space is absolutely beautiful — try to sit at the back window facing the river.

Really nice, modern coffee shop right in heart of town with good views of the river and great coffee and cakes and lovely English speaking staff. Just the place if you're hit by a longing for a good coffee while travelling.

Great view overlooking the river. Perfect for a small snack. Doesnt smell like cigarette like other older cafes. The houji cha milk tea was served in a teapot and it was delicious!

Had a tasty press coffee (Columbia Buenavista) and a delicious waffle.
This place has a lovely view over the Miyagawa river, and is a very nice place to rest for a bit after visiting Takayama.

Really a lovely little cafe. An oasis with a nice river view tucked away in the old town, with a bright clean modern interior, good coffee and nice desserts.

The river view is very nice. Cappuccino is great and I took a strawbery cheesecake with. A good place for relaxing with good music.

I loved this little cafe. Sat by the window and looked out over the river. Just a quiet little spot. Had amazing apple pie. The waitress was quiet and sweet.

The food is highly recommended the apple pie is fantastic crunchy crispy and the apple is bite size cut which is great

Modern Japanese boutique coffee place in Takayama old town. Located by the river, the view is nice as well. Served excellent delicious apple crumble and pumpkin cheese cake. Amazing. Must visit!
