Lovely hostel with friendly service and fellow guests. Clean, bright, warm, and inviting. Beautiful view of the lake and Mt Fuji if it’s clear.

I recommend trying to get here in the day time while the bus still runs otherwise you’ll need to take a taxi from Kawaguchiko station!

WOW. This place is awesome!! I would definitely stay here again. My family and I rented a room (loft style) and we’re happy with it. Clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

You’re just a five minute walk from uncrowded view of Mt Fuji.

Important FYI.
Breakfast: They have it, but needs to be reserved three days before.
Dinner: They have a outdoor patio with grills, and serve dinner by reservation only.
Bus: Take the number 2 bus. Try to be the first to board as the ride is 30 minutes and you get off at the last stop.

Fair warning, do not come to this area without cash. Seriously we had to ride a bus 5 stops to get to an ATM because nowhere in the area takes credit card. Anyways, the hostel itself was quiet and clean, and had a cool game room downstairs with Nintendo 64 and games to play like Mario and 007 goldeneye. The area has a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji and there's lots of gorgeous nature to enjoy.

A modern style hotel which is also comfortable.
I choose their capsule and the experience is excellent. It’s nice and clean.
There are numbers of shower rooms, no need to queue for.
The public area is big and cozy, great for spending your time before sleeping.
(*Parking at the front door is temporarily, parking slots are a minute away)

This is the perfect place to stay at Fujikawaguchiko, so perfect. Situated in highland, facing the Fujisan, and just 1 minute walk from the lake, enjoying morning Fujisan view. To go to Fujisan only 2 bus away. The staff are friendly, they upgraded our room. The place is clean. The building is neat, the price is so affordablez you can adjust to your budget, they have private room , or shared. Up to you. They have kitchen to use. For us, we must come back here again.

An awesome awesome hotel for the price I paid. Super cozy, super cute and your bed is a Pod so you have so much privacy. I’ve been to many hostels, and this has been my favorite. You can rent a bike here as well for 1000 Yen a day! The staff is amazing and kind. An awesome place in an awesome area.

It's one of the most tidiest and coziest hostel I've ever stayed at! The staff is quite helpful, and the hostel provides fine meals for breakfast and dinner as well.

The location is brilliant, it is close to the Oishi Park which is one of the best viewing site of Mountain Fuji!

I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who is planning a short trip to Lake Kawaguchiko.

This experience went far beyond my expectations!
The hostel is REALLY cozy and clean.
The dormitory is spacious and thanks to curtains you can have your own privacy. Super clean toilets, shower room and little kitchen. Tasty and filling breakfast.
What I appreciated the most is the hostel staff. Everybody was very welcoming and happy to have a chat by sharing travel stories. Thank you guys, you are doing an amazing job! Ciao

We stayed here the night before our wedding and the staff were extremely accommodating for our group of friends and family. They made the entire event possible!
The private rooms were very spacious and clean with plenty of amenities and comfortable bedding. The hostel also provides complimentary wifi internet access for guests.
There is a small game room downstairs that offers entertainment and some retro video game consoles for the guests to use.
The BBQ plan offers a variety of meats and vegetables for your group to cook on the grills just outside of the sitting area and was plentiful.
An optional breakfast plan is offered that consists of a variety of breads, fruit, and vegetables.
The shower rooms were very clean and luxurious, offering both standard shower heads and waterfall type showers.
I highly recommend anyone visiting the Kawaguchiko area to book a stay at Dot Hostel & Bar. You will not be disappointed.

Great Hostel! Had a room with loft, very cozy. Internet is super fast and the view of Mount Fuji was just a stroll down the path. Will come back. 😄

Great place to stay, 4min walk from Oishi Park.

A great little hostel with some great people working there. Comfy beds, free shuttle between the station and hostel, and a good selection of local beers at the bar. Downstairs had a small hangout area which made for some nice chilled evenings. There isn't much in the local vicinity to do at night, but for a 2 day stay the food on offer at the hostel was tasty and well priced. Recommend hiring the bikes (1000¥ for the whole day) and going for a cycle around the lakes - we actually made it all the way to the bat caves (about an hour ride) which meant avoiding the often cramped busses. Beautiful views on a clear weather day. Would be sure to stay again.

Great hostel. Stayed in the big family room. Enough space for 7 adults comfortably. Toilets are clean and well equipped. There is a coin laundry available. Great view of Mt. Fuji and the lake on clear days.

Best hostel ever, the rooms are really nice and clean. just 2 mins walk to the lake. Nice breakfast for only 700¥. There is a gaming room where you can stay drinking and playing all night long if you want to. The living room is pretty cosy with a movie screen.
You can also rent some bike for 500¥ for 3 hours or 1000¥ for the day and cycle around the lake with a beautiful view of the Fuji-San !

Great hostel, has a nice lobby and relaxing/gaming room. The mixed dorm is spacious and is nice and clean. Enough privacy with the curtains that are in place. Toilets are clean and the showers are nice. Staff can speak English and is not afraid to start a conversation!

Excellent hostel, very clean and amazing view.

Possibility to stay in a capsule or in a room, we stayed in a up to 4 people's room with a double-bed and a mezzanine with two comfortable futons ! The rooms are very clean and have an amazing view (see photos, if you're on the other side, I think you get to see Mount Fuji if the weather allows it). The bathroom is also modern and comfortable.
All TVs are connected and you can watch netflix/youtube/etc. on them.
Possibility to eat different kinds of foods and drink different kinds of softs and alcoholic beverages. Also possibility to smoke hookah (shisha).
The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was very good (toast, butter, jam, sausages, scrambled egg, salad and banana).

Highly recommend staying here, it's well situated, comfortable, with a good atmosphere !

Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The location is perfect. It’s on the north side of Lake Kawaguchi, so you can head out any time of day and see Fuji across the lake for amazing views.

Absolutely wondeful little hostel. Little food options but good good. Comfortable and able to travel around.
