Peak Niseko Car Rental

Highly recommend Peak Car Rental. My wife and I rented a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser from their New Chitose Airport location during the snowiest time of year and drove all over Hokkaido. We skied 7 different mountains between Niseko and Furano and we never got stuck or needed help. Their team’s communication over What’sApp was perfect. We will only rent from Peak as we continue to visit Hokkaido in the future.

The vehicle was new and had a ski rack and excellent winter tires. Check in and check out was very easy and the shuttle service was great. We would highly recommend this company.

We rented a Mitsubishi Delica from here over the Christmas and NYE period. I dealt with Kim from Peak Niseko and the standard of customer service is top notch. She was able to offer us alternative options when all cars in Niseko were booked out, and was very genuine and gave us fab advice and guidance.

In Niseko, we were met by Joran who handled the pick up and drop off of the car and he was super friendly! It was a good welcome when we had just got into Niseko all frazzled. Completely fuss free experience, no issues whatsoever, and the car (as recommended by Kim for our group size) was ACE. Super clean, super comfortable, super easy to drive. We were able to compare it to my brother in law who rented from Mitsubishi in Chitose and the X-Trail they rented felt flimsy on the snow. Would definitely rent from them again, no doubt!

Condition of the van was very good. Well-equipped including all you can think of for camping and cooking. It was very easy to travel with it throughout Hokkaido. Many campsites all over that include an onsen most of the time and comfortable area for cooking. With the storage box on the roof there is plenty of room. The chairs fold down and on it there is a very comfortable mattress. Only think that could be added is a blanket that would have saved the trouble of bringing sleeping bags. Other than that everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time.

Rented a Nissan X-Trail over the Christmas and New Year period. The staff were really flexible with pick up and drop off and communication with the staff through WhatsApp was perfect. We will be using them again next season.

Best car Rental Ever! Prompt communication, very organized and easy to follow reservation process, exceptional and courteous customer service, accommodating, and their cars are amazing! We loved our 4 x 4 van. Peak is the best! Their entire staff is awesome and so appreciated! The Mitsubishi Delica was practically new, with all of the bells and whistles, and clean as a whistle. The vehicle handled incredibly in snowy conditions with great steering, plenty of power and perfect alignment. Their cars are spacious, comfortable, very well maintained with excellent tires. We felt comfortable and safe in a luxurious vehicle to tour Hokkaido for 12 days! Look no further this is a company you can trust!

Long-term renting Subaru Escudo from Peak Niseko - car runs perfectly, ski rack is a huge plus during winter season, car was handed over in deeply-cleaned condition with zero odor etc. Very happy with this rental. The owner drove to help me start the car late at night one day - outstanding customer service!! Highly recommended for locals, as well as tourists.

We rented 2 vans from Peak in January 2018. Before arriving Kim was amazingly helpful and responsive by email answering all my many questions. Pick up was easy and the cars amazing. We had French mountain guides driving the vans and both commented they were the best winter vans they'd ever driven.
They were comfy and clean but most importantly amazing for the awful driving conditions. The roads were constantly icy or snowy but the vans coped perfectly making driving easier and safer. We'd definitely use Peak again

This was the PERFECT van to chase snow around Hokkaido for two weeks for a group of 6-9 people.

* Most importantly, the snow tires and wipers were top notch. We spent our entire 12 days driving on snow-covered and, at times, very icy roads, and the van performed as well or better than my car at home, which has all wheel drive and snow tires. I am very comfortable driving in snow, but only in the right equipment, and this van performed exceptionally.

* The space in the van (Hiace) was plenty to fit skis under the seat, large bags in the back, and get 9 people seated with seat belts. With 9 people, including the front bench seat, it was a bit snug, but doable. When we only had 6 people on part of our trip, the spacing was ideal. Again, the rear area can hold a LOT of gear.

* Kim and Paul were quick in their communication. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and even were able to accommodate our request for different pick up and drop off locations and times.

If you are looking for a van to get you and your crew around Hokkaido during the winter, this is the place to go!

Great service! We rented a camper van and travelled around Shiribeshi for a week. IMO it’s the best way to experience the area and lets you travel at your own pace and off the beaten track.
All of the free campsites are really nice and clean- blew me away really.
The van came equiped with all the gear we needed, and the bed was super comfortable. We just stopped to pick up food and were good to go.
Could not recommend these guys more.

The car we rented was in great condition, very clean, easy to use and equipped with useful extras such as a ski rack, FM transmitter and phone holder.

Hokkaido is a world away from the rest of Japan and Peak Niseko's van was perfect for our week there. Having the van meant that we could explore the national parks without relying on local trains and buses and there are so many great places to camp. We were especially impressed with the V6 AWD capacity. It had plenty of power and the van was in excellent condition. It was very clean and the camping supplies met our needs for a week on the road. Paul seems to have thought of everything needed to camp out in Hokkaido's stunning countryside. There was plenty of room even with 2 large pieces of luggage. At night the van converted easily to a comfortable and snug sleeping capsule. The supplied Garmin for navigating was ok but it's a good idea to have a quick lesson with Paul before heading off. All in all this was a positive and economical option for travelling around Hokkaido and gave us the freedom to go wherever we planned. Paul was able to answer all our questions and was professional and helpful at all times. We'd love to come back for another holiday. Thanks Lisa & Peter

I've just finished an unforgettable 3 weeks touring Hokkaido in a van from Peak Niseko Car Rental.

The island is beautiful in the summer and the camper allowed my girlfriend and I to see plenty of places that would have been difficult or impossible to access using public transport. Even with the cost of fuel it worked out much cheaper than renting a car then paying for accommodation along the way.

The van was comfortable to sleep in and the supplied camping equipment is more than sufficient to cook for yourself when you're out in the middle of nowhere.

Paul the owner answered all of our questions before the trip and picked us up / dropped us off from Kutchan station.
