It was a great experience! I always get nervous cutting my hair since I've had some bad experiences in the past (at other salons), but he was very kind and really made sure to understand what I was looking for. I speak very little Japanese, so it was nice being able to communicate what I wanted in English. Thank you for the amazing haircut!

I have blonde, straight and very fine hair so I was researching for a hair salon who has experience with "foreigners" and their hair types. I found Hiros Salon through recommendations and I can only confirm the positive reviews. Everything was really perfect. The atmosphere is very relaxing and very stylish. The view to the river is very calming. The salon smells wonderful and so do the products Hiro uses. He is wonderful to talk to, his calm but friendly manner makes you feel very comfortable. I love the hairstyle he cut for me and the price was really very fair!
I will definitely come back again!

First of all, I highly recommend this hair salon to everyone. The hairdresser met my hair style requirements very well and gave very good advice. When I sat there, both the aromatherapy and the background music made me very relaxed and enjoyed the experience, which I have not experienced anywhere else. The English of the hairdresser is very good! You can communicate barrier-free in English. I am very satisfied with the final hairstyle! Next time I choose a hair salon, I will choose this hair salon without hesitation. I sincerely recommend this store to everyone! The craftsmanship, ambience and service are top notch!

Lovely salon! I was only in town for two days and was excited to find Hiro’s place last minute. I went in for a color touch-up and it turned out great. The space is very quiet, atop the river. I had an excellent experience and will return next time I’m in Fukuoka!

Being an Asian American, it is difficult to find a good hairdresser in the states so I decided to get my hair done during my trip in Japan. I’m so glad that I found Hiro-san. Not only I was able to look good, Hiro-san also made the experience very enjoyable. He is meticulous and made sure my hair was perfect. I will definitely be back if I ever come back to Fukuoka!
PS the salon was a little hard to find for me. It is located on the second floor of a building but you have to through an alley first.

I really enjoyed my experience with Hiro. He was honest about the state of my hair and he offered good recommendations for products and methods. It is clear that he cares about the integrity of the hair.
The salon itself is a very cute and small space near a river. So with the soft music, the view, and the care provided it was a very calming environment. He speaks English so he was very easy to talk. Overall it felt like hair therapy and I was very satisfied with the end result. I will definitely be back!

I warmly recommend coming here if you are looking to get a haircut in Fukuoka. Communication was easy, the atmosphere was calm, and Hiro‘s really easy to talk to. He listened to what I wanted, gave his opinion, and cut my hair perfectly with a lot of attention to detail.

My experience with Hiro was excellent! My hair is naturally dark blonde and extremely fine so I was concerned I’d have a hard time finding a stylist in Japan who’d know how to work with it. Hiro knew exactly how to cut, color, and style my hair type and gave me great recommendations on how to care for it. I highly recommend him to any foreigners out there who are struggling to find a stylist in Japan that speaks English. Also, the atmosphere of the studio is extremely relaxing! :)

The interior design of the salon is very simple in a good way, and it reminds me of the “ZEN” atmosphere. You can see a river from the salon window, and it’s so relaxing.

Ever since my friend told me about this salon, I've made sure to go whenever I'm in Fukuoka ! The salon itself is really cute and cozy and plays very nice music. And the owner is even nicer and very friendly. He is fluent in English so if youre foreign you won't have any problems, and he takes care to cut and style your hair very professionally with organic products too and its really relaxing. I always come out with my hair feeling much fresher and lighter. I couldn't recommend this place enough. The view is also really peaceful, and if you're in the mood for a coffee after, Hiro has great local recommendations :)
