Had a great experience here watching a baseball game. The arena was really easy to navigate and the staff were very nice and helpful. Only problem was the traffic in the parking garage, it took a while to get out. Other than that it was great.

FUKUOKA PayPay Dome is one of the landmarks in Fukuoka. The dome is located in Chūō-ku, Fukuoka. It is the world’s largest geodesic dome and feels enormous when you stand in front of it.
Around the dome, there are many decorations related to players of Fukuoka Hawks and celebrities who have visited before.

Ah that dome!!! It was fantastic. My fiancée and I watched a baseball game for the first time and we got adored by the dome and atmosphere. We sat right next to the non-Hawks fan seating area who was supporting their team so hard and we enjoyed listening to it. The end of the game when Hawks wins.... what a surprise! I don’t know how they do fireworks inside the dome. It was totally worth going. Can’t wait for the next visit.

Took a stroll outside the dome in the evening.
It is well connected to Markis building and there is a new entertainment building for family to bring their kids to enjoy.
Beautiful place!

Great place to see a game of baseball! Lots of great food options, very nice people, and the atmosphere is crazy! The passion for the game is incredible, and and it is shown through all the chants and songs that go on through out the game. Also looks cool from the outside! Over all, a great plac to have a great time!

It could be a good experience to visit here while traveling Fukuoka city. People who don't have interests in baseball can enjoy too. The seats are clean and comfort and there are lots of food shops located inside of the dome.

The home for Softbank Hawks. Very big stadium. Good place even during humid weather due to over-covering retractable roofing

Convenient access. Nice area (next to the beach). Fun to swing by even if no games or concerts are held. Plenty of shops around the dome area.

went to a softbank hawks game in late september. it was incredibly easy to get there from hakata bus terminal, they have special buses that go directly to the stadium from there but beware: they really pack you on. the stadium is really nice and the seats are comfy. toilets outside are eastern but inside theyre western. the food is plentiful and delicious and fairly cheap. make sure you buy some of those white and gold balloons! they blow them up in the 7th inning and also at the end if they win!

Great views from center field. Lots of beer girls with different beer options. Ice cream, fun, cheers, and activities. The restaurants were also a treat, and the game tickets were reasonable prices.

Absolutely fantastic place when there is a game on (the place is completely shut down on off days accept for 1 or 2 food outlets). I went to a baseball game between the Hawks (Fukuoka's home team and top within the region) and the Lions (2nd in the region's league). The atmosphere was incredible. The place was packed with all ages. On the morning of the game (the game itself started at 6pm) I went to Gate 7 (labelled very clearly) to get my ticket (choice between 4.5 and 5.5k yen seats so around £35-40) and found the staff very helpful with clear instructions where I would be sitting. I was a bit nervous initially about where I would be sitting but didn't need to be so anxious since the atmosphere and viewing would have been phenomenal almost anywhere in the stadium. For a 18:00 game tickets on the day are sold between 10.00 and 17.00 hours (at the time of writing). Expect the game to last between 3-4 hours but you are free to leave whenever. Toilets, food outlets, everything you can imagine you need to make your time comfortable and enjoyable and also beer carriers to serve you when you are already comfortable in your seat (again feel free to leave your seat whenever). Unforgettable.

Everything I thought I knew about the atmosphere of a baseball game was a lie after seeing a game here. Cheerleaders? Yup? Brass Bands and drummers in the bleachers? Oh yeah. Just an amazing way to see a game. Probably par for the course in Japan, but from the American perspective, an awesome change in perspective.
